Meet Garrett Faison | Photographer & Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Garrett Faison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Garrett, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was younger, probably sixteen or seventeen when I picked up a camera, and from that moment I haven’t left the house without it. I thought it so cool to be able to capture moments and save them for later as I was almost always taking videos on my phone of everyone and what was going on around us. By the age of 18, I was hired by a family friend to videograph their wedding in Hot Springs, AK. Not only was it my first wedding, but it was also my first destination wedding. The trip was a total success! When I got home, I was ecstatic to fire up my computer and spent the next two days glued to my computer. I finished their video in record time and sent it over. They were beyond impressed, overjoyed even! That was when I realized I could serve the community doing something I loved, and I have been doing that since.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Here at Garrett Faison Visuals, we like to think of ourselves as a people-first business. We always strive to put our clients at the utmost priority. We understand that the mood of the photographer/videographer can set the stage for the rest of the day, and we know that. Garrett Faison Visuals and its associates understand the importance of conducting oneself with utmost professionalism. We also know what it’s like to feel the stress and anxiety that may come with planning such an important event and will gladfully help plan the event if needed. We serve the community by presenting others with beautiful galleries and videos, and that’s what we plan to keep on doing.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Friends visiting? We’re going to Perry’s Steakhouse. Some of the best food in the metroplex, and it isn’t even close. Dallas has some interesting prospects, such as the Omni hotel, Botanical Garden, and the Dallas World Aquarium, but the House of Blues has to be my favorite. With world-class artists and fantastic food, what could go wrong?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to Sara Carpenter who not only inspires me all the time but pushes me to better myself.
