Meet Eureka Calhoun | Image & Wardrobe Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eureka Calhoun and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eureka, how does your business help the community?
My company Velvet Lope Styling empowers women by helping them discover their personal style, which in turn ignites deeper confidence and self-worth. Through style education, wardrobe transformation, and image consulting, I guide women to see themselves in a new light—beyond trends and societal pressures. When a woman feels seen, aligned, and confident in her appearance, she shows up differently in every area of her life—from the boardroom to her personal relationships. This ripple effect not only transforms individual lives but also strengthens communities by uplifting women to lead, inspire, and express themselves authentically.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Over the past 12 years, I’ve worked as an image and wardrobe consultant, helping women align their outward appearance with their inner confidence. My mission has always been rooted in transformation—not just in style, but in how women see themselves. In recent years, I’ve expanded into the world of TV and film as a costumer, which has deepened my creative expression and allowed me to tell stories through wardrobe on screen.
Most recently, I began pivoting into content creation with the launch of my YouTube channel, where I share personal style tips, wardrobe hacks, and encouragement for women who want to feel confident and aligned every time they get dressed. This platform has become a new way to serve my community, while still staying connected to my passions—working with clients one-on-one and styling for TV and film productions.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been seasons of uncertainty, burnout, and having to rebuild my confidence after closed doors. But I’ve overcome those challenges by staying rooted in my purpose: I believe I’m here to serve women who are done playing small. Women who are ready to be seen, to feel powerful in their own skin, and to show up as their full selves.
What sets me apart is the heart I bring to everything I do. I don’t just style outfits—I guide transformation. I listen, I affirm, and I help women reclaim their image in a way that reflects their values, goals, and God-given essence. Whether I’m dressing a character for screen or helping a client build a wardrobe that supports her lifestyle, it’s all about empowerment through style.
I’m most proud of my ability to keep evolving without losing the core of who I am. Faith in God has been my compass. I still face challenges, but I trust that the path is already set before me—and I walk it with grace, gratitude, and determination.
What I want the world to know is this: My brand isn’t about perfection—it’s about power, presence, and purpose. Your style is an extension of your story, and I’m here to help you tell it boldly.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a proud southern lady from Alabama who’s been living in Dallas for the past five years, I can honestly say I’ve fallen in love with this city. It has such a vibrant mix of culture, style, and soulful energy—and when friends visit, I make sure they experience the best of it! Especially in the summer, Dallas truly comes alive, and I’ve curated a little “Southern Belle meets City Chic” itinerary that’s always a hit.
Day 1 – Since visiting Dubai, I’ve become obsessed with their fragrances. So, we’d kick off the trip by taking them to Amir Oud or Dubai Oud to create a custom scent—a truly luxe and personal experience. Then it’s time to do a little damage at 260 Dallas Sample Sale which has some of my favorite designer deals. Then end the evening attending at a Joey’s or a pasta making class at Eatly inside North Park Mall.
Day 2 – Next day we will probably take is easy and catch up before heading out to Monarch for dinner and Catbird drinks. Both are conveniently in the same building that provide gorgeous views while dining and having a cocktail. Afterwards we will check out one of the plethora of shows at Winspear Opera House, Broadway Dallas at Music Hall, or Moody Performance Hall.
Day 3 – Bishop Arts is a great vibe and perfect for a light stroll the area to take in the artsy, eclectic vibe. Then early dinner at Paradiso. For a stylish nightcap, we’d grab drinks at Casablanca.
Day 4 -Thursdays are a gem in Dallas. We’d do Thursdays On Tap at the Perot Museum, which is such a fun way to experience science, art, and music all in one. Dinner at Catch. Then we’d stop by Chocolate Secrets wine bar for more live music, sweet treats, and sultry ambiance. Or Jazz Night at Babous inside the beautiful Hotel Swexan.
Day 5 – Start the morning with a walk on the Katy Trail and then breakfast at my favorite farm to table restaurant Bonton Farms. One of my favorite experiences is a wine tasting or mixology class—so we’d schedule something at People’s Last Stand for a cocktail class or PURNOIRE Winery for a tasting later that day. For dinner will Kitchen and Kocktails for that elevated Southern flavor.
Day 6 -A relaxing pool day at the Virgin Hotel rooftop on Saturday will always be the my go-to option—perfect views, good vibes, and signature cocktails. Afterward, we’d get dressed up for dinner at Winsome Prime, then head over to Freeman Cafe for live music to end the night on a high note.
Day 7 – Sunday morning starts with a visit to One Community Church, because faith always grounds the week. We’d close the trip with brunch at the Dallas Museum of Art,
Dallas has so much to offer—art, music, style, and soul. It’s a city where creativity and southern hospitality meet, and I love sharing it with the people I love.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I truly believe that no journey is walked alone, and I’m so grateful for the people who have poured into me along the way. First and foremost, I want to dedicate my shoutout to my mother—her unwavering love, strength, and belief in me have been my foundation. She’s the one who reminded me that I was capable, even when I couldn’t see it for myself. Her support made room for my dreams.
I also want to recognize my community—my tribe of sisters, clients, and friends—who’ve not only supported my business but have affirmed my purpose through their encouragement and trust. Each woman who allows me to be part of their style journey gives me the fuel to keep going. You remind me that what I do is bigger than clothes—it’s about confidence, self-love, and showing up fully.
And I have to give a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Ava Kamaria. Her mentorship, guidance, and radiant spirit have left an imprint on me. She has modeled what it means to lead with grace and vision, and I’m forever grateful for the wisdom she’s shared.
To everyone who’s believed in me, rooted for me, and held space for my growth—thank you. You are part of this story, and I carry you with me in every step I take.
