We had the good fortune of connecting with Estoria Dent and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Estoria, why did you pursue a creative career?
I was always in love with art especially photography. One day My sister came home with a film camera discussing how photos are produced in a darkroom.  I knew immediately I wanted to learn more about photography so I enrolled in school and learned about subject matter, production and installation.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a social media strategist/sales consultant by day and photographer by night. My days are spent researching how I can grow my clients platform and reach out to a wider audience. I also spend time editing my clients photos.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely go to Klyde Warren park and have a picnic on the grass! You can grab some food from the food trucks nearby and take pictures by the water fountain. After the picnic make sure you hop on the free trolley to Velvet Taco and order half of the menu you won’t be disappointed.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I wouldn’t have the confidecne to unaplogetically create art without God and my family. Secondly, I want to give a shoutout to my professor Jade Doskow she always believed in me and helped me create some awesome street photos of NYC. Lastly, everybody should watch EveryBody Street by Cheryl Dunn that’s how I view the world.
