Meet Eric Yun | Digital Marketing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Yun and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi eric, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was a graphic designer on food stamps trying to support my family. The only way out I saw was taking the jump to start my own business. I saw a gap in demand and ways I could supply and started my own digital marketing business in 2017.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The first half of my life was dedicated to music, sports, and ministry. I’ve always been fascinated by the convergence of these 3 worlds I found myself a part of. Even today, whatever industry/conversation I’m a part of, I try to contribute mindsets or language from an outside perspective to give unique and beneficial insight. For example, I apply jiujitsu principles to business, music composition principles to storytelling in short-form content, ministry leadership principles to customer service. I’ve always been a jack of all trades, master of none, and felt insecure about that, until I recently realized the quote didn’t stop there. It goes on to say, “but often times better than a master of none.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Stockyards in Fort Worth, good barbecue – probably Panther City BBQ, catch a Mavs or Rangers game.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
CJ Jolliff was the first to hire me and give me a job pretty much shadowing everything he does from whiteboard meetings to video shoots and graphic design projects.
Gary Vaynerchuck’s content gave me the mindsets needed to not only start my business but help my clients increase sales for their businesses using digital marketing.
Rober Fukui was a business mentor for the beginning – his advice on my pricing model added tremendous benefit to my business and family.
