Meet E’miree Alexander | Ceo of Lip E’s

We had the good fortune of connecting with E’miree Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi E’miree, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was when I discovered me spending unnecessary money on store-bought lip gloss and I thought to myself why can I make my lip gloss and make my own money by selling it also my parents had their own business so it was like a 2 for 1 so that’s when I brought it to my mothers’ attention and we kind of forgot about it. My mom circled back and she asked me do I want to do it. I was like yeah. I do. My mother invested and started buying the products I needed and I started working.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that I have 100% vegan products, as well as different unique tubes, I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown with my business. How I got here today is with the help of my beautiful mother being consistent, not doubting myself, and never giving up. No, it wasn’t easy at all it took a lot of hard work and dedication. I overcame these challenges by being positive if things didn’t work my way. NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF IN ANYTHING YOU DO IT WILL ALWAYS WORK IF YOU STAY POSITIVE.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was in the area for the weekend. We would first go eat (appetizers) on the top deck at xoxo dining nice views, unlimited riding through the city on the scooters and taking photos/TikTok’s much-needed content lastly, Clyde Warren Park has nice refreshing hang out spots to sit, laugh, and drink some fresh lemonade while talking about what the future holds and viewing the sunset.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize this program. “Serenity Mentoring” I’m currently a beautiful mermaid. The things I love about the program are that it teaches you about social health, mental health, hygiene tips, low self-esteem, and much more being a part of this program helps you open up. I love the fact that I have created a sisterhood it feels like family when I’m with Serenity girls and how could I forget Shante Graham my lovely mentor my best friend she’s always ready to listen to my crazy stories and all and always giving me positive feedback. I want to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful program. Looking forward to what the future holds in any young girl out there that’s doubting their potential. YOU GOT THIS!
