We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Caldwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve had a lot of tough decisions to make since deciding to start my business in real estate. I’ve always been a very ambitious, driven person, so I knew that I didn’t want my success to be limited by someone telling me what to do on a daily basis, or how much I can make in a year. I knew that I needed a job where there was no cap to how successful I can be. Where my success is determined solely by how much I’m willing to put in. I knew that I wanted to create a life for my family, and future children, that I didn’t see myself getting out of in a typical corporate job. I’m passionate about everything that I do, and that reflects through my work. I think knowing that I am able to help others work towards their dream lives is really one of the ultimate driving factors for me.

What should our readers know about your business?
I work as a realtor at Keller Williams Allen, right outside of Dallas, TX. Keller Williams Allen is the top producing market center in Collin County. Working at such a prestigious office motivates me to work even harder in real estate. Everyone at this office looks out for each other and wants to do everything to help one another. It’s so rare to be in an office with this kind of support system, and I feel so privileged to be around so many like-minded people. Having these kind of people around on a daily basis makes it so much easier to overcome challenges and find guidance when it’s needed most. Additionally, any clients that I represent have the additional sense of security knowing that their realtor is backed by a top office in the area.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you’re in the area, an absolute must is to visit Legacy West. It’s an upscale environment, located in the heart of Plano, TX, with several different dining and shopping options. One of my favorite restaurants there is North Italia. You will not be disappointed after visiting. If you’re anywhere in Collin County you can’t pass up the opportunity to make the 30 minute drive south to Dallas. Anytime I’m in Dallas I have to stop by Klyde Warren Park. With views of modern architecture surrounding you, it really is an absolutely memorable location.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Pedro, is a huge motivator for me. He is the person who pushes me every day to be better than I’ve ever been before. Pedro always holds me to high standards which drives me to work hard and make him proud. I absolutely want to give a huge thank you to him and everything he’s done for me.
