We had the good fortune of connecting with Emeli Padilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emeli, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my support system of my parents and my clients. If it wasn’t for their trust and belief in my abilities, I wouldn’t be in the position I am in today. Their loyalty through this journey hasn’t gone unnoticed it’s been the driving force behind my growth. This has both allowed me to push harder and continue to grow not just as a business but also as a person. Being 7 years into the industry remaining teachable is essential. Growth is a constant process, and being open to learning has allowed me to adapt, improve and stay aligned with my purpose.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business actually started because I needed something to help me get through college. I had no mentorship, no assistance program – just alot of trial and error. It wasn’t easy in the beginning, but if it weren’t for my clients continuously referring me, I wouldn’t be where I am today. As I dedicated more time and intention into my business and it became something I genuinely loved doing. I found myself coming home every weekend from my college town to fulfill appointments. Through this journey, I’ve learned organization and dedication were key factors that helped me succeed to where I am today. My brand has grown because I’ve poured so much of myself to it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Fort Worth! One of my top favorite spots is Wabi on Magnolia Street—their happy hour runs from 3 PM to 7 PM. For a delicious Texas barbecue experience, I highly recommend Railhead Smokehouse. And visiting Billy Bob’s is a must! Whether you’re there for a concert, bar hopping, or just soaking in the honky-tonk vibes, it’s an unforgettable experience. Another stop I’d never miss is my favorite Tex-Mex place, Los Molcajetes. They have the best margaritas and chips with salsa!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A big recognition I would like to give to is my parents, Maria & Arturo. Growing up in a home where the support and love was always there and unquestioned. No matter what struggles my parents encountered they made sure our family’s needs were met. Starting my business they were the first ones that pushed me when starting out with no mentorship. Them providing a stable foundation allowed me to pursue my goals with confidence. Especially now establishing my hair extension line, they have been immensely supportive. Their influence has been key in shaping the person I am today, and I will honor them and forever thank them for their efforts and support.
