Meet ELWOA | Producer & Sound Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with ELWOA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi ELWOA, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Sound creatives are truly the unsung heroes. The industry moves rather quickly, but creatives must take their time to provide a potentially fresh sound for producers. I’ve seen it happen with virtual instruments such as Nexus and ElectraX. These synths alone have been employed to make sounds used frequently the last ten years in electronic production. Most people don’t know the tools utilized to make popular songs, but they are familiar with certain sounds made from these tools which are used in modern production consistently.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Making art is a way of showing myself the love I possess. The more art I inevitably participate in, the more I realize how positive I am towards humanity. I know everyone has their flaws, but doing what I love has helped me focus on my strengths. I am most proud of my ability to express myself through the music I have created & the music I have helped create.
I got to this point in my career by surrounding myself with people who are like-minded. As much as I love making music on my own, I enjoy being able to share experiences with collaborators too. People who put the art first. There are times when no one is around. I would say that is the hardest part. It is best to make yourself realize the purpose behind your will to create. I want people reading this to know they will do what they love & they will not do what they won’t. It is a choice and a privilege to love what I do.
ELWOA is an acronym for ‘Embrace Love With Open Arms.’ Do what you love with passion and dignity. Most importantly, do it for you & your love will grow.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When a friend visits me, we go to the local restaurants/bars such as Duke’s Riverside Bar & Grill. In my opinion, it is the best spot near Harrisburg overlooking the Susquehanna river. Even though this is my personal favorite there are other decent spots in the area. I would show them downtown to get a feel of the city. I am not a fan of the bar scene, but there are always interesting people to meet and talk to. I would go to a place called HMAC. I have had a good time watching artists in the area perform here. There are a few galleries & a number of coffee shops in Harrisburg that make for a great morning. I myself choose to hang around my friends mostly, so I would take my best friend with everyone on a short hike most likely. There are a few wooded areas I like to walk through from time to time especially during late spring and early fall. When the weather is perfect for a fire.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank soundcreative.net for giving me a chance to explore my creative ability. I honestly would not have taken it to the level I am at without their help. I bought nearly all of the content on their website when I first started getting into improving my quality as a producer. Since then, I’ve made friends and kept in touch. At the end of the day, creatives musically & in general deserve to be blessed with proper support. I am happy to say I have been blessed ever since I reached out to them.
