Hi Elia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was rooted in my love for baking and creativity. I’ve always been a very artistic person, and baking became an outlet where I could express myself. Starting a business gave me the chance to exercise and grow my skills—not just in baking and decorating, but also in sharing something meaningful with others. It was a way to turn something I love into something real and impactful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my cookie business on March 14, and it’s been an exciting month of growth and learning. My focus is on creating unique, high-quality cookies that stand out with bold flavors and creative designs. What sets me apart is my commitment to offering something different—each batch is crafted with care and a personal touch.

Although I’m in the early stages, it hasn’t been easy. Balancing the art of baking with the practical aspects of running a business has presented challenges. But my passion for baking and the support from my family, especially my mom, have been invaluable. Over the past month, I’ve learned a great deal about time management, sourcing quality ingredients, and building relationships with customers.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that persistence is key. Starting a business comes with its obstacles, but by staying focused on my goals and continuously improving my skills, I’ve been able to push through. Another lesson is that the support of the community—whether it’s from family, friends, or customers—has made all the difference in staying motivated and inspired.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on passion and creativity. Each cookie is made with care and attention to detail. I want my customers to know that when they choose my cookies, they’re getting more than just a treat—they’re getting a piece of my journey, my love for baking, and my dedication to making something special.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mom, who has supported my small business with unwavering love and dedication. From staying up late with me to pack orders, to helping organize the financial side of things, she has consistently shown up in ways that truly matter. Her support has allowed me to focus on growing creatively and refining my craft. I also want to acknowledge my own efforts—particularly the time and thought I put into creating unique flavors and maintaining a standard of quality that sets my business apart.
