We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Micaela Herndon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Micaela, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is the fact that I am unapologetically and authentically myself. As a business owner, it can be tempting to show up as someone else because it seems like those people are the ones that are always winning.

Showing up as someone else is a guaranteed way to ruin your business. When I get on camera and show up with my clients I step into who I fully am and this allows me to be so powerful and confident because I know that I am operating in my zone of genius. This authenticity is what has allowed me to attract all kinds of clients because people are looking to make real connections so they can change their lives.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the Owner and CEO of Coaching with Dr. Micaela. I am a manifestation strategist who helps female entrepreneurs monetize their influence and brand authority with magnetic video visibility by simply being themselves. Being able to help women create the income they want in their business is an honor and I am grateful that they trust me with their dreams.

After spending nearly a decade working in business and educational development for multimillion-dollar institutions and startups, I mastered how authenticity and expertise drive conversion, 5-figure launches, and sold-out events—and it’s not following the social media algorithm. It’s about connecting with clients on a human level and building rapport that speaks to the transformation clients desire to see in their lives.

Getting to where I am now has taken quite a few late nights and some tears along the way, but the power of perseverance is REAL! You have to be willing to do what others may give up on. It wasn’t easy but finding what worked for me in my business has made my process repeatedly simple.

Growing up in Oak Cliff with a single mother and incarcerated father, I developed an amazing imagination and it really gives me the ability to become a visionary. Instead of allowing my trauma to write my story, I used my trauma to really identify my areas of strength. I fully stepped into storytelling and this has allowed me to create life-long connections with my clients. I have built a strong reputation for helping women discover their purpose, build their business, and motivating audiences in unforgettable ways.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I love being real so let me get right to it. I am a homebody! I prefer a Nextflix and popcorn situation but if my bestie wanted to hit the town, it would probably go like this.

Monday: Spa Castle, lunch at Rudy’s Chicken and dinner at Eddie V’s.

Tuesday: Mani and Pedi at LP Nails and grab lunch at Corner Bakery. Dinner would probably be Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse.

Wednesday: Walk around North Park and spend too much money, then hit Chipotle for lunch and La Calle Doce for dinner.

Thursday: Chill inside because the ambivert in me is exhausted at this point. Probably rewatch Coming to America and Ozark. Fry some catfish (my catfish is the best) and do chicken salad for dinner.

Friday: Hit the skating rink, take a run, then lunch at Bread Winners and dinner at Chuy’s.

If you’re wondering why I don’t have breakfast spots, it’s because I don’t eat breakfast. I know…I KNOW!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mother (Michaella) and my Grandmother (Dorothy) deserve a shout to the mountains and back. They have been the biggest influences in my life. They sacrificed so much for me to be in the position I am in today. They gave me guidance, allowed me to explore my gifts, and encouraged me in my darkest seasons.

My Grandmother passed away in 2020 and I was heartbroken. Her legacy has encouraged my mom and me to go for our dreams. My Mom is now acting and I am stepping into my business full-time. It has been a journey but it hasn’t been in vain.
