We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Linda Amerson, PhD, IIT, TECT,BCHHP and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Linda, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The one thing about my industries specialty, that outsiders are probably unaware of is the indept level of research about hair science, health and nutrition required to receive a board certification as a Board Certified Trichologist and Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am most proud about all of the image transformations of Patients, who receiving my Clinic scalp treatments, used my award-winning products, and made dietary changes for maximum results.
Also, proud and humbled to to receive 3 Proclamations: White House Proclamation, Texas Senate Proclamation, City of Arlington Proclamation recognized with Dr. Linda Amerson Day on September 25th. Presented the Key to the City of Corpus Christi from the Mayor, as well as numerous other awards. My 9th year of giving a Scholarship to a youth affected with alopecia, and pursuing college. This Scholarship is presented in September during National Alopecia Awareness Month. Truly grateful.

Getting where I am today has not been easy. Staying motivated and consist with my vision.
I have learned many lessons in over 4 decades.
Serve with excellence, listen attentively to customers, do not judge (watch facial expresions),
decline to service difficult clients…do not let them disturb your positively, and surround yourself with people who you can learn from.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My itinerary for my friend would include:
Restaurants: Breakfast Brothers, 360 Brunch, Egg Bar Brunch, First Watch, True Kitchen, Ella’s B’s, Mr. Hibachi and Joe Pool Lake Restaurant to name a few.
Historical Tours: AT&T Stadium, JFK Museum, Klyde Warner Park, Prather Park, The African American Museum in Fair Park, Galleria Mall, The Parks Mall, Northpark Mall. Would also check the Arts, if any plays or concerts performances are in town.
Pamper time: Massage at True Balance Therapeutic Massage.
