We had the good fortune of connecting with Donette Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Donette, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
After the birth of my daughter in 2004, I was suffering from Postpartum Mood Disorder. I was desperate for help, seeking holistic modalities, and unable to find support. This resulted in me exploring alternative options and finding my life’s work.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m thrilled to be practicing naturopathy at Our Wellness Community in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas.
Our Wellness Community is a collective of holistic providers whose mission is providing affordable and sustainable care.
As a Traditional Doctor of Naturopathy, Yoga Therapist, and Birth & Postpartum Doula, I blend my inner wisdom with holistic healing modalities to nurture and empower women and families. My passion is to ignite the natural wisdom of the body as a primary compass for navigating health, wellness, and life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend and I were out and about for a day in the Dallas area here’s what we would do:
1. The Spa at the Joule
2. Bishop Arts District
3. Flower Child
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m honored to call Dr. Christiane Northrup my mentor and inspiration for my healing journey. Her New York Times Best Seller, “Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom” continues to be my guide for women’s health.
