We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Owens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destiny, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
My grandfather would always say, “your name is your bond.” When you aren’t around what value does your name speak in rooms? Having this thought process, each day helps me to remember that what I give off to the world shows a great representation for me, even in rooms that I have no entered. If my character is that I am a good, loyal and trustworthy person that is because it is the representation of myself that I have been able to show and give to others. I cannot let the value of my name decrease because of a bad day. Because someone cut me off in traffic, ect. I must still let the light of God shine within because my name will carry me far in places I haven’t or probably would never step foot inside.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is an online boutique that with the main attraction of lashes! We have strip lashes, magnetic lashes and also specialize in lash extensions. I have worked extremely hard by socializing and networking in all different locations by going to conferences and and special events advertising my business. What sets me apart is definitely my drive and the goal to not only help myself but others who are trying to come up in the beauty world!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take her to Tyler for a weekend getaway.

Friday morning would be brunch. Then a visit to Kiepersol – The Grand Room, Winery, Distillery Tasting Room & Vineyard. Then go to PiNoTs
PAlETTE to paint and enjoy. Lastly go to Javi’s and have dinner on the water.

Saturday- we will begin with a spa day. Get our massages from Hand and Stone on Broadway. Catch a few movies, bowl and do arcade games at the Times Square Grand Slam. Lastly go to Rick on a square and enjoy some live music and food.

Sunday- Go to church then get our lashes and eyebrows done at Simple Luxuries by Dessi.
