Meet DeShaun Walker | Owner & Creator of Deep Voice Radio

We had the good fortune of connecting with DeShaun Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeShaun, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Family, Dedication, Support, and Hard work. each one of those represent my brand and what my brand stands for. When you combined them all together, it equals the success of the Deep Voice Radio Brand is and will continue to have in present day and in the future.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is interviews and what set me apart from everyone else is that I bring a positive Vibe, talk to them like I known them since day one for example before we go live, I’ll ask how was your day, how’s the family, how you feeling so that they can open up and feel relax. I want them to be in positive space so that I can get best out them during the interviews and in return get the best out if me. It took me while to get here professionally but I had to put the work in everyday, be dedicated, work on my skill set, study and find the right people who wants to help you. it wasn’t because I had some days where I thought that this wasn’t going to work or any excuse to put self doubt in my mind but I had to remind myself to keep the faith, keep moving forward. I kept my faith in the lord and prayed everyday day or night to guide me through these challenges and show me the way. The most important lesson I’ve learned is to never give up on your dream or on yourself and I want the world know that DeShaun Walker, Deep Voice Radio and are movement is on the come up and I want everyone to part of it. It’s special, unique, funny, brutally Honest and Positive. My story is being rewritten and this time I won’t waste it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take Deep Ellum because I just love the energy of the when it’s pack and everyone is out having a good time enjoy the scenery and atmosphere. while were in Deep Ellum we’ll stop by Vidorra one of my favorite places to go eat, and it has a indoor-outdoor rough top and did I mention that quesadillas are delicious and margaritas are just right. Check out the Stockyards in forth worth Texas another place I like, walk around and take in the views sights of the stockyards or what I call it old western town lol! Take pictures and of course eat at Cooper’s Old time Pit Bar B-Que. Take a trip to Austin to show how beautiful and laid back its and eat at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q, so good and finally to the star in Frisco home of Dallas Cowboys indoor practice facility and head quarters. Awesome place to visit and It’s football!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my Wife Charlise Walker, my son Loron Young, mom Beverly Pollard, Grand Mother Bennie Lou Jefferson, Brother Albert Walker, Niece Monica Kennedy and my Nephew Albert Walker for having faith in me, pushing me and encouraging me to follow my dream when I didn’t think it was going to happen. their my rock, my everything. My Home town of Detroit Michigan, cousin Dame Jefferson co-host/partner for Hip Hop Talk, thank you for bringing back passion of music, were doing something special with Hip Hop Talk and I couldn’t ask for a better partner. My Podcast Family Taimon Turner, Jay Attal, Michael Dupont and Abe Hernandez. Taimon Turner who I been doing podcasting with for 7yrs now and the one thing I can say about Tai is he brings out the best in me and with all success I have experience doing podcasting he’s been there.
