We had the good fortune of connecting with DeNesha RaChelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeNesha, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is imperative in order to push forward in your life/career. Being a risk-taker has enabled me to start my television network, create my talk show, and to become a best-selling author. None of these goals would have been achieved had I not taken risks. Risks require faith to JUMP! They are not for the timid nor for the proud. You have to be strong, courageous, and humble in order to be effective in your pursuit of the unknown. All of these characteristics aided me while taking risks in both my life and career which ultimately guided me into my purpose!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a ROKU Network Television Host and a Bestselling Relationship Author. I absolutely love what I do! I have a platform where I can discuss everything! Topics such as relationships, celibacy, dating, single life, fashion, healthy eating, etc. give me an opportunity to connect with people everywhere via my television show and my books. I don’t sugar coat my words. I don’t seek topic ideas from other shows or networks. I don’t use cue cards. I simply draw from my own experiences and share my journey with like-minded people. Now, I must admit; I am hilarious at times! Lol! Sometimes, I laugh at myself when I go back and watch my shows or read my books. I believe that’s one of the ways in which I’m able to connect with people from all walks of life. I believe it is a part of healing and growth to allow laughter to heal your scars and ultimately, use those experiences to heal and deliver others. That’s what I’m most proud of! When we are able to take what life has thrown at us and we rise above it all with joy, laughter, and wisdom; we regain our power and now, we have the authority to reach out and help others come out of the pain that we were healed and delivered from. It is the collection of all of my experiences – good, bad, and ugly – that enabled me to arrive to where I am today. Where I was raised, who left me, who hurt me, who loved me, who prayed for me – all of these factors shaped me into the woman I am today. Was it challenging? Yes, but for the readers out there, I want you to know what my biggest challenge was. My biggest challenge was letting other people’s expectations and perceptions of me GO! I had to be comfortable with how God created me. I had to accept the fact that I’M A BIG DEAL! I had to stop apologizing for other people’s dysfunction or their lack of desire to want more! I realized in order for me to be blessed, I had to be able to STAND as a blessed person. Jealousy, slander, hate, offense; all of those things are suppose to happen when we are striving to make a difference. My assignment was to keep my eyes on the lovely people I’ve been sent to touch and feel comfortable with just simply being DeNesha RaChelle. The world should know that I’m here because I want them to know that they are loved. There’s a lot of people walking around everyday who feel unloved, unfulfilled, unworthy, and rejected. I want them set free. I want them healed. I want them to live prosperous lives. I want them set free from the cages of religion and people, places, or environments that limit their gifts. I want people to know that they have something that’s special and when they recognize what their gift is, they’ll stop existing. I want people to embrace their purpose and rule in their area of gifting. Because after all, we were designed to rule.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay, so I’m dreaming as if this covid mess was over when I state the favorite spots I’d take my best friend in the Dallas area! I absolutely love brunch!!! I love champagne, so of course, we’ve gotta have mimosas! Now, let me preface my food choices by saying, I hate sugar! I choose all of my food choices based on their willingness to provide low carb/sugar free options AND, I don’t eat beef or pork, so I love it when breakfast menus have different types of protein. My bestie and I could go to a place like Snooze an A.M. Eatery in Addison. They have so many options from your traditional brunch items, to healthy options, to flights of pancakes, and the drinks are AWESOME! Another great spot to go for brunch would be First Watch in Frisco. Their menu is amazing!! I’m getting hungry as I type all of this up for you guys! For dinner, if covid never happened, I would’ve loved to take my bestfriend to Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck in Reunion Tower. I hate that they’re closed down. Instead, we could go hang out at The Shops at Legacy. We could go to Capital Grille and hit up Seasons 52 afterwards for a flight of scrumptious desserts! We could also go to Truluck’s, Kenny’s, Neighborhood Services… the list goes on and on. Activities such as, going to Southfork Ranch, visiting the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, enjoying the Dallas World Aquarium downtown, and shopping in Highland Park would be on our to do list for sure!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I have to give a shoutout to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I am absolutely nothing without Him and His love! He truly deserves all of the glory! Next, my mommy, Becky Daniels, deserves credit and recognition because she raised me to be a beautiful, confident, and loving woman! I’m grateful for her sincere words of encouragement that push me to be the light God created me to be. My grandmothers taught me strength, grace, faith, mercy, and how to present myself as a queen. I have brothers who protected me and kept the wolves away – lol! I had a great youth director/choir director at the church where I grew up by the name of Sheila Jacob, who has literally devoted her life to serving the youth in my small hometown of Monticello, Arkansas. I had teachers that displayed themselves in a respectable manner, such as, Julie Fakouri. Her example of brilliance, beauty, and flawless presentation made young women say, “I want to be like her when I grow up.” I have prayer warriors like Ms. Jackie Thompson who intercede on my behalf to ensure my protection and victory! I have the love and friendship from the wonderful man in my life – I love you Jasper! There are so many books and authors that I’ve learned a great deal from because I am definitely a wisdom seeker. The messages and words of Dr. Myles Munroe greatly impacted my life. Books written by Apostle John Eckhardt have contributed to my growth as well. The powerful and life-changing teachings by Dr. Matthew L. Stevenson III and his beautiful wife Dr. Kamilah Stevenson have blessed me to unapologetically be the woman God created me to be – in his words, “I’m working in here!” There are so many people that have influenced me in positive ways over the course of my life. So many messages and teachings from great people of faith that God used to help develop me in the dark. It truly takes a village.
