We had the good fortune of connecting with Dedrich Flint and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dedrich, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What is the Most important factor behind my success? I would have to say emphatically that would be my faith in my relationship with my Savior and Lord Jesus. My trust and believe in Him is paramount to me at this point in my life.

Without that, I could not accomplish anything worthwhile. My beliefs helped me understanding that true success is not just the accomplishments but also the ability to manage the failures. I do not allow failures to define me!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am currently the founder and CEO of Project Adullam Ministries Inc. We are an outreach organization that serves the homeless community by providing a facility where our “homeless neighbors” can get a hot showers, clothes, and hot food. We also go out with other organizations like Fort Worth Five Loaves and Two Fish to go to the camps and parks to provide vital supplies and services to our homeless neighbor. Our mission is to “Love them where they are through service!”

This was not easy at all but worth it! During the pandemic I lost my job. I did not know what to do next then I heard the “Voice” clear as day say to “get outside these walls and go get my remnant. They are sheep without a shepherd!” So, I did just that! Did not know what I was doing. All I knew was that I had orders and a mission now! Despite a few missed cues, misdirected trust broken promises, and lack of experience; we have finally gained the support of our community to be trusted stewards to help our “unsheltered neighbors” I do not like the title “homeless” because it takes on so many different stages. Couch surfers, people living in their vehicles are homeless as well!

What I would like the readers to know is that it does not take a lot to make a change. A smile, a bottled water and maybe a coupon for a BOGO burger deal at the local burger joint says a lot! One of the most powerful statements that I heard from one of my clients is that all they wanted was that you see they exist! That is so much more important than the money and the food!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, wow I would have to say catch a little brunch at Enchiladas Ole Forest Park for some great Mexican cuisine after which head to the Fort Worth Zoo to walk off all that great food! We would have to definitely have to hit the Stock Yards National Historic District for a true Fort Worth Texas experience watching the cattle drive after which grab a flavorful burger at Hooker’s Grill then finish up the day at Billy Bob’s the World’s biggest Honk Tonk! Final day we would have to check out the Kimball Museum then “crawl” all the spots on 7th Street till closing time!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to send a big shout out to a few people that believed in me when I was rebounding from one of the worst times of my life. Shout out to Christina Heady, is encouraged me to get culinary training. It was one of the best things I ever did. The “Community Kitchen, a free culinary training program that the Tarrant Area Foodbank in Fort Worth, Texas offered. I trained then was later employed there for over 7+ years! I had so many great Chefs pour into me like Thomas McGrath, Manuel Vasquez, Keith Hicks, Keith Grober just to name a few. Best book I ever read besides the Bible that has impacted my life was, “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki. This book needs to be taught in elementary school!
