We had the good fortune of connecting with DeAnthony Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeAnthony, what’s your definition for success?
I think success is the ability to take risk and grow in a particular area. I believe success is growth in your field which yields new and fascinating opportunities. I believe if your opperate in your passion well enough, it’ll eventually pay you and afford you the opportunity to get better and to grow in your particular craft. I believe faith is also success or at least it is a part of it you need faith in order to be successful in my viewpoint, you may need some connections and you must have a genuine Persona about yourself to really be successful in my opinion.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well it’s a few things I will start by saying I published a book of quotes that I’m still proud of, then from there I had a nonprofit charity Faith Walkers Charities and we did some good volunteer work in dfw. I have a podcast it allows me to interview various Collegiate coaches, athletes educators, historians with the goal of learning what makes this successful successful. I’m also a radio producer in Dallas. If I can say the one thing that sets me apart. It’s that I’m living the job I want and i believe faith is a big reason because the journey hasn’t been easy economically.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First I would take them to White Rock lake and allow them to see the views, then we would grab a bite to eat maybe some good barbecue or a nice hole in the wall place that serves chicken or even a vegan type place. Then maybe to cap it off with an event like main event or somewhere that allows us to have fun and play some games.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest asset to my success journey is my faith and my faith in the Creator, then I will say it is learning through books and also people along the way who have assisted me.
