We had the good fortune of connecting with De’Airea Mosley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi De’Airea, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The habits that i feel helped me succeed was to stop procrastinating and really go after the things you want in life . You have to believe that if you want it you can have it – you shall receive it ! Also be original (authentic) even if someone inspired you insert your own twist . More importantly PRAY – I’m a woman of God i believe that you must pray first about whatever it is you want to do and God will most definitely lead you the right way .

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What set me apart from others is that i value my products & it’s not just about what i can gain financially from my business but it’s what i love doing and have a passion for . I’ve been a makeup artist on & off for about 6 years ! Until one day i decided that i wanted to actually have my own cosmetic line and use it on my clients as well ! I started my cosmetic line in 2020 right after college i finally came out with my first eyeshadow pallet . Months before then I’d been conversing with my vendor doing swatches back and fourth and having serval meetings on what colors to go with or what products to start off with first . The pandemic really changed so much & gave me time to really sit and think on what i can do to invest in myself . Over the years I’ve gained more customers and clients . One lesson i learned is that business will have its ups and downs ! One day it can move slow and you won’t make any sales and the next day it’ll be running as normal ! & it also takes money to make money you have to be willing to take a Big risk with business ! You’re not going to always Win ! Trust- there will be loses but please do not let that Stop you ! Give your business your all & don’t half step . Be open to learn & don’t take all criticism negative gain something from it and turn it positive . As of today I’m still growing in the business industry I’m still learning . I still have my slow days but i won’t give up ! I know my business will be big one day . My advice to the world is to stay consistent & Pray & to keep the faith even if it’s just a little faith that’s all you need ! Sass cosmetics will be in stores soon !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love to go to Legacy Hall it’s such a vibe & the foods are so good there & there’s a lot of things you could do . As for shopping i would say the Allen Outlet & north park mall ! There’s so much to do in Dallas i would be here all day listing things i love here lol. Oh and if you eat tacos . Texas is the place to be

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give God all the credit because without him nothing is possible, Prayer is so powerful it literally changes things ! i also want to shout out My Parents for always supporting me & believing in me . There is this book that i love called : Heart& Hustle by Patricia Bright ! It gives women & men the inspiration to Go Get It & put forth the effort . It motivated me so much to keep going & to push through !
