We had the good fortune of connecting with David Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is the ultimate key in changing your life. If theres no risk taking theres no change, I took a risk by leaving my job that I had been employed for 10 years, I had no idea the outcome but all I knew is that I had the support from my wife and knew that everything was going to come out okay. Their approval and support made this decision easier for me. I knew I had to work hard and make this business happen. Its been the best decision I’ve made in my career life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an artist, the rugs I make I consider them art pieces, The process of making each rug is exciting to me. I make sure to pay attention to detail. Detail is key, is what sets me apart from other rug creators. It makes me proud when my clients get their rug and the joy they get when they see it, that makes me happy, proud, a feeling that I can’t explain into words. Some of my customers are collectors, fanatics, the least I can do is get every detail right. Some customers have to wait weeks sometimes months to get their rug it is essential to excel in what I’m providing for them. In order to achieve where I’m at it took time and plenty of practice to perfect my craft, I’m still learning everyday. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is to make my instagram page look professional and provide great customer service. The world needs to know that Loaded Rugs is the best. We make sure each rug is perfect down to the little details. We take pride on making sure each client is satisfied with their rug. This is only the beginning, excited to see where the future takes us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them around downtown uptown area, Deep Ellum is always good vibes. I stay more up north by Plano, legacy west would be a good hangout spot to drink and eat. Legacy hall in Plano has amazing food. Also a great place to check out is The Star in Frisco, they have great places to eat and see the Dallas cowboys practice that’s always fun.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Wife deserves all the credit. She is the one that push me to take this big risk in starting Loaded Rugs. My wife Jennifer is also the one who runs and makes this business great. She takes care of everything behind the scenes while I just take care of the creative part of making the rugs. Without her I would not be where I am at.
