We had the good fortune of connecting with Darnesha Ellis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darnesha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to have something I could call my own and I wanted to make sure that I have an inheritance for my children . Financial freedom is my goal and that’s what I wanted for my children .I always had a desire to do hair and also start my own hair care line to finally see it coming to past is a real blessing for me and I truly thank God for giving me the opportunity to show the world my gifts and talents.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is the fact that I am Fearless I tell clients that they can do whatever they would like to do with their hair and I take that and use it in my every day life and I tell them the same thing. What I am excited about My new hair oil that’s coming out it is going to change the lives of many people . Not only will you be able to use this all for hair but Im also coming out with a line for skin care . I was born with eczema It is very hard to fine skin care products that work for me so I decided that I would like to start my own brand that can help with this issue. I had some major challenges in my life from losing people and also being a single mom but I don’t take that lightly I feel like it has made me become a very strong woman I love my children so much and I remember packing them up catching the bus just to go to the salon to work so that I can provide a life for them I have sacrifice so much but it was so worth it. A lesson that I have learned is to live your life authentically and be yourself and never let anyone tell you who you should be .To live life on purpose because you never know when it will be your last be happy have a smile on your face even in your hard storms there is always a rainbow somewhere. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I could go any place in the world it will most definitely be Pairs . I would like to go there and stay in a hotel across from the Eiffel Tower we will most definitely go and check out restaurants and go shopping also I would like to check out to the libraries I love to read that’s my favorite and I love journaling we go to a lake somewhere peaceful

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout out to my grandfather because he played a big inspiration in my life he is no longer here but he taught me so much and I really just thank him for everything that he did also my mother she is so strong and confident and I love that about her she has so much wisdom .lately my family we have been through so much these past two years I lost my grandfather and I lost my uncle this April in the mist of starting a new business and I’m just keeping my mind strong in this time and season of my life. Also I want to my thank my Coach / Counselor Kimberly Howard I want to thank her for helping me through the hardest time in my life she never let me give up she pushed me to my highest level and prayed with me when I wanted to give up she would not let me stop. I would like to thank my Baby Sis for always pushing me to be the best in everything in life and also my cousin Sharonda For helping even when you were tired you gave me all you could and grandmother for being the creative gem that she is I thank and  appreciate everyone in my family and church Family Bethlehem Church of God in Christ for there love and support
