We had the good fortune of connecting with Dakassha Holmon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dakassha, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for my business came from my own personal journey. I knew what it felt like to be denied, to feel stuck financially, and to have limited guidance on how to truly build wealth and credit the right way. After experiencing those setbacks, I became committed to learning everything I could about personal credit, business credit, and funding—and most importantly, how to use that knowledge to create real freedom.

I realized that so many people—especially women—were in the same position I once was: motivated, hardworking, but lacking access and support. That’s when I knew I had to create something bigger than myself. I built my business to not only provide services but to educate, empower, and walk alongside others as they break financial cycles and step into true ownership and opportunity. Today, I help individuals become fundable, build credit, and position their businesses for growth—all from a place of strategy, structure, and purpose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work focuses on equipping individuals—particularly women and entrepreneurs—with the tools, education, and strategies needed to take control of their credit, structure their businesses properly, and access capital through OPM—Other People’s Money. I specialize in helping my clients become fundable, build sustainable businesses, and ultimately, create generational wealth.

What sets my brand apart is not just what we teach, but how we teach it. I bring real-life experience to the table. I didn’t come from a background of wealth or connections. I built my business from the ground up after moving to Texas with little support, no roadmap, and a deep determination to change my life. Because of that, I meet my clients where they are—with practical solutions, compassion, and systems that actually work. I understand the mindset blocks, the confusion, and the fear—because I’ve been there myself.

Professionally, it’s taken years of trial, failure, and resilience to get to where I am today. It wasn’t easy. There were seasons of burnout, financial uncertainty, and moments where I questioned if I was truly called for this. But I leaned into my faith, surrounded myself with mentors, hired the right team, and stayed committed to the bigger vision. That persistence is what allowed me to grow from a solo entrepreneur into the founder of multiple programs and initiatives, including Kay’s Financial Services, Wealthy Women on Wheels, and the nonprofit Future Wealth Chasers.

I’m most proud of the impact I’ve had—watching women who once felt stuck finally get approved for funding, launch profitable businesses, and reclaim their financial power. I’ve helped clients secure thousands in funding, start their own credit repair businesses, and access real financial education that’s often gatekept in our communities.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are that systems create sustainability, mentorship shortens the learning curve, and your past doesn’t define your potential.

What I want the world to know about my story is this: I’m proof that with faith, strategy, and commitment, you can transform your life. My brand stands for empowerment, structure, and legacy—and I’m committed to helping others build from a place of clarity and confidence, not survival.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d make sure the trip was a perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and inspiration. We’d start with brunch at The Henry or Sixty Vines—both offer great food and an even better vibe. From there, we’d explore places like Klyde Warren Park or the Dallas Museum of Art for a little culture and creativity.

We’d hang out in Bishop Arts District or Legacy West for boutique shopping, cute cafés, and good conversation. For dinner, I’d take her to XOXO Dining Room, STIRR, or Paradiso—places that offer great food and an unforgettable atmosphere.

One night would be dedicated to a true girls’ night out—rooftop drinks at The Statler or Happiest Hour, just enjoying music, views, and a good time. We’d also carve out time for a spa day at Hiatus Spa + Retreat to relax and reset.

And of course, I’d introduce her to my world—maybe invite her to one of my Future Wealth Chasers events to see the impact we’re making in the community. We’d wrap the trip with a good brunch, a little faith, and some deep conversation about life, purpose, and what’s next.

To me, the best kind of trip is one that feeds your soul, your ambition, and your joy—and that’s exactly what we’d create.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt, I have to give all the glory to God first—He’s the foundation of everything I do. Every win, every door that’s opened, every client I’ve been able to impact has been by His grace. There were so many moments I could’ve given up, but God reminded me of the purpose behind the pain.

I also have to shout out my husband—he’s been my biggest cheerleader, strategist, and partner in this journey. From the late nights to the tough decisions, he’s been right there praying with me, planning with me, and believing in me when I needed it most.

To my mom—thank you for always believing in me. Your prayers, your love, and your quiet strength have carried me more than you know. You’ve always reminded me that I could do anything, even when I didn’t fully see it in myself.

A huge thank you goes to the women I serve and the women who’ve supported me—my sisters, my clients, my team, and my tribe. Watching them grow, win, and transform their lives has been my greatest reward and constant motivation.

And lastly, I have to recognize my son. He’s my “why.” Everything I do is to create a legacy that shows him what’s possible with faith, hard work, and a dream that won’t quit.
