We had the good fortune of connecting with Curtis James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Curtis, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
Those most important things that I’ve done and continue to do is being very consistent and present and accountable for my actions and making sure I set the best example I can. I’m very present in they’re lives and it’s a beautiful thing to see yourself as a baby or 2 year old 🥹❤️ I have two daughters and they’re the reason I continue to strive to be a better father I’m learning everyday there’s no handbook to parenting so to be able to use what you’ve been through good and bad and give your babies those gems and life lessons and pray they do they best with what you’ve provided to them up until the time comes where they’re adults.. My experiences in life allows me to make nothing but positive impacts on my girls and that’s my gift to them sharing my good and bad times and making the best honest decisions in life…

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My ability to be as creative and imaginative as I can possibly can be it’s something that has always set me apart from others. It’s a gift sad a curse if managed the wrong way. I’m most grateful and excited about being able to show that love is the key to life and spread nothing but positivity to the young generation.. Life is always going to be a challenges it’s how focused you stay and overcome those adversities. Stay focused on the end result and believe in yourself and the rest always follow. My profession as of today is on hold due to a work injury I’m actually in the process of pre surgery for the third time on the same injury so life definitely has its ups and down but I don’t allow it to deter me it’s giving me all the time to raise my daughters and be there in anyway possible and I’m ok with that I’ve been through enough in life to know to be grateful for it all! What I want the world to know genuinely it’s not where you started it’s where you end up you keep fighting until there’s no fight left and continue to jump the new hurdles life brings.. I believe in loving one another and being kind it’s a lot to ask for these days seem like but it’s so simple. I just pray everyone find that peace and happiness in they’re selves in life it’s a beautiful thing once you grasp it! Peace love and happiness to all kinds no matter what! Right is right and wrong is wrong! If you have to think about doing something more than once it’s probably wrong?! Don’t let that go over your heads… lol I learned that From Curtis Sr! Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’re hitting Top Golf in Dallas for fun ,drinks , food , and golfing. Definitely going to have to go to Kitchen&Koctails by Kevin Kelley in Dallas the food drinks and music is a vibe any day. We would also go on hikes find a few trials around the DFW area and get some outdoor time. Deep Ellum has all kind of bars and clubs eatery etc. Bowling is always a go to with some friends and family…North Park Or Parks Mall for shopping is available for shopping is that’s what we want to get into..Botanical Gardens of Dallas is a beautiful laid back fresh experience..

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout and recognitions go to the mother of my beautiful daughters, my Muslim community (Imam Saeed) out of Irving Texas, my family and friends of course couldn’t do this without my village very thankful for they’re love and support. And last but not least I want to thank Allah and myself for staying dedicated and being able to be self disciplined the way I am in Shallah…
