We had the good fortune of connecting with Colleen Fischer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are a ton of great video production folks out there, but what sets Genius House apart is our partnerships. Because we are a full-service business, from pre-production to post-production, we are able to offer versatility, efficiency and amazing customer service, along with beautiful work (and fun)! We do our best work for clients that partner with us on multiple projects – great communication, workflow and an established vision – these are some of the reasons that we have agreements for years, not just one off projects.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We live and work in the Near Southside in Fort Worth, so when we have guests, we typically stay close to eat and imbibe all over Magnolia and S. Main St. I love to be outside so bike rides and walks on the Trinity Trails are a favorite when it’s not one thousand degrees outside.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Over the last ten years, we have had such excellence on our team, I cannot think of a better shoutout than our employees. Oscar Lopez, our talented Editor is so versatile he also shoots with us on smaller projects and Rick Anderson, our experienced and creative Animator deserve credit and recognition every day. Our past employees Shawn Tubre and Darren Pike also spent years with us as an important part of the Genius House story.
