Meet Cody Duffy | Real Estate Agent & Content Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Duffy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cody, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I am very passionate about taking risks. Without risk there is no success – I wouldn’t be here today doing what I love and impacting my community if I didn’t take risks along the way. My risk-taking journey began while studying mathematics in college and after 5 years of number crunching, I knew it wasn’t where I wanted to be nor what I wanted to be doing. It was at that time, I decided to drop out and move 1100 miles away from my hometown in West Virginia, to the big city of Dallas, TX. I moved with the intent to be a Personal Trainer, but as other opportunities arose in sales, marketing, and consumer experience, I took more risks, tried out different experiences, and eventually landed in Residential Real Estate where I absolutely love providing my clients the best service possible. Not all risks work out how you expect, or even in your favor, but in order to win big, you have to lose along the way. Without taking risks you won’t suffer many losses, but also won’t enjoy many wins.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Client Experience is what sets my business apart from the competition. I have nearly a decade of experience in different customer service roles including waiting tables, personal training, and innovating a new consumer experience department for a local consumer goods start-up (now a publicly-traded company).
Not a single part was easy, but that’s part of what makes this path I’m on so rewarding. Not only do I get the satisfaction of seeing my clients win big with a smile on their face, but also knowing that I put in the work, I continue to put in the work, and I do it the right way, really gets me going in the morning.
One thing I would want the world to understand about me and my brand is that among the ultra-saturated residential real estate market in Dallas, I honestly care about my client’s feelings and experiences and will do whatever I can to make things go smoothly throughout their real estate journey. No matter how big or small.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love being a tour guide when I have guests visit Dallas! Some go-to spots are the Fort Worth Stockyards to get that true Texas feel and of course we always have to spend a day (or two) in Downtown Dallas visiting places like Klyde Warren Park, Reunion Tower, and the DMA. Legacy West in Plano and the Star in Frisco are two other locations that out-of-towners always seem to love.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone that deserves recognition and a shoutout is my good friend George Kellas. We graduated high school together in the same class and he moved to Dallas a year after I did. His mentorship early on in my career was critical for me to find my way in professional life and to this day some of my most meaningful connections have come from projects we have worked on together. He is my personal video producer and one of my most trusted mentors in business.
