We had the good fortune of connecting with Coach LaQueta Wheeler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Coach LaQueta, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision that contributed to my success was forgiving myself and people who hurt me in the past. Although I experienced so much throughout my entire life, I understood that I did not have to allow my past to control my future. I was holding on to word labels that were placed on my life by family members which caused anger, bitterness and pain. That went on for years on top of years, but God. Once I decided to forgive and heal, God changed my life completely! God set me free indeed! Now I can talk and walk boldly in my truth without being ashamed of my past and being identified by the labels that were placed on my life.
One thing that sets me a part from other coaches is my authenticity. I will keep it real with my clients and my followers no matter what. I want women to understand that they are not alone. I am very transparent about my struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, negative generational beliefs and so much more. I thank God that I was able to overcome all of those adversities. I believe women want to see authenticity instead of your current status. I believe women want to know how you got to where you are today and how they can trust the process. I don’t mind about giving the women what they want. I know without doubt that God can set them free just like He set me free.
Another thing that sets me a part from other coaches is my pricing levels. I offer low-ticket and high-ticket services for women with various budgets. I want to meet my clients where they are. I will always over deliver in my coaching sessions whether I am providing a low-ticket service or a high-ticket service. My ultimate goal is to witness a transformation in my client’s life. I will do anything necessary to help my client overcome adversities and to stop living in their past. It is very vital to me to offer my coaching services for different budget levels because I want to see every client Live Up, Faith Up and Level Up in their life and business.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend visited the DFW area, I would take her to the AT&T Stadium for a tour. She can’t travel all the way to Dallas and not check out the Home of the Dallas Cowboys – fan or not. I would take her to other attractions such as Top Golf and the African American Museum of Dallas. In addition, we would visit some of my favorite restaurants: Pappadeaux, Ellen’s, Thibodeaux Cajun Cookin’, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and the Cake Bar. Lastly, we would go shopping at The Galleria and Legacy West. If time permits, I would take her hiking at the Cedar Ridge Preserve.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I want to recognize God. I wouldn’t be able to share my story today if it had not been for Him making this spotlight opportunity possible for me. Secondly, I want to recognize my coaches, mentors and spiritual leaders for their support and guidance. I have made several divine connections since I stepped in the entrepreneurial world. I am so grateful! God gets all the glory!
