Meet Cindy Montgenie | International Speaker & Executive Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Montgenie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cindy, how do you think about risk?
I consider risk taking as part of the journey of pursuing your dreams, unlocking your full potential, and living a purpose driven life. All the major accomplishments in my life have included taking major risks. It started after high school, when I left French Guiana where I am from, to pursue a higher education in France. Then I took the risk to leave France to study abroad in. What was supposed to be a one-year exchange program turned into a 20-year international corporate career, living, and working in Latin America and the USA. Along the way, I have rejected twice a major promotion and once I asked for a demotion to be more focused on personal matters. Those were risky career moves. Then I took the risk of leaving a great executive position in a global company to launch my own business
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am a future of work expert, international speaker, and certified executive coach. I work with business leaders and organizations that want to implement modern leadership development solutions that fuel innovation, engagement, and success. Indeed, the next 10 years might bring more disruptions than the past 50 years. So any business leader and professional face the challenge of what should I do today to stay relevant in the next 5-10 years? what should I do to win today but also win tomorrow? What set me apart is that my solutions are data driven, highly practical and is super easy to work with me. We go directly to the core of the matters, no lengthy and complex contracts. We co-create the solutions with my clients, so it is all about them. What excites me about my work is to play a part in the story of transformation and success of my clients by removing roadblocks and empowering them with modern toolkits. Being an entrepreneur is highly rewarding, but it is not easy. At least for me it was not easy to cross over the corporate life to the entrepreneurial one. My faith helps me keep my peace when things are challenging. I know that have still many more lessons to learn, but so far, I have learned on the importance of cultivating and growing your network, being consistent in your execution, investing in your growth and self-care, be anchored in clear vision while being flexible with your plans.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am blessed to live in Miami a dream vacation for many. So beaches are a must. The food scene is rich from cuisines from all over the world so every day we will taste something different.. If it is a family trip, the Sea Aquarium, the Zoo, Rapid Water Parks are fun destination for kids. The Everglades, Vizcaya Museum, Key West, The graffiti at Wynwood will also be part of the itinerary. One week might be not be enough to do all of this, but surely, we will have a lot fun.
Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?
So many people and organizations have contributed to where I am today. The first big shout out is to God. I am a woman of faith and God had led me to places I could never have imagined, so to Him all the Glory. Second big shout out to my parents for making big sacrifices to give me what they did not have, and third shout out to my mentors and sponsors who believed in me and opened doors for me.
