We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy McIntyre and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cindy, what do you attribute your success to?
Easy one, 100% full transparency. As a business owner I have had to have difficult conversations with clients and I don’t try to sugarcoat anything. They are hiring our team to be an advocate for them and we need to do just that.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own CM Promotions, an amazing team of wedding planners who service DFW and beyond. We are ‘all hands on deck’ & we will do whatever we need to make sure the day flows smoothly. We love hearing from our couples & families, ‘you help with that too?’ Cake cutting is actually one of our favorite parts, we get to meet and interact with all the guests, plus everyone loves cake! I consider myself very responsive and I hear that often. As I know planning my own wedding, I am trying to get as much done as I can, in the time I have. I am currently writing this at 9:22pm after three back to back meetings today. I am busy all the time but wouldn’t have it any other way! I am beyond grateful for the team I have built and all the couples we have helped over the past 4 years. I am always learning and growing and there isn’t one wedding yet I haven’t learned something.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I feel in love with Denton during the first trip down and it was that weekend I decided I was moving here, to be closer to Joe (this was date #2 y’all) Talk about moving fast. Some of my favorite spots are Barley & Board for Brunch followed by the margarita flight from LSA. One of my favorite things about this area is that almost everywhere is dog friendly, we get to bring our pup everywhere!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is tough, I opened this business out of spite when I relocated my life here to Texas and couldn’t find a job. I kept hearing I wasn’t qualified enough even though I knew I was. I wanted to prove everyone wrong and boy I sure have! After growing over the years and meeting so many wonderful wedding vendors I really do think it is a community, we all are here to help one another. Some of my favorite wedding pros that supported me along the way are Birdie Bridal (I said yes to the dress here myself) Gaby Pineda Photography, JM Prosperity Farm & so many more.
