We had the good fortune of connecting with Ciceley & Cynthia Miles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ciceley & Cynthia, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The value/principle that matters most to us is credibility. This matters most to us because in the industry we’re in it’s hard to find a credible hairstylist or nail technician that isn’t trying to scam you out of your money or providing a service that isn’t worth what your paying. We want our clientele to know that we provide quality not only service wise but experience as well.
What should our readers know about your business?
The name of our business is Claccy Creations, pronounced like classy. We are licensed cosmetologist who specialize in hair and nails. We got licensed through high school and have been licensed almost 5 years now. We went off to college and saw that there was a need for another hairstylist and nail tech on campus and decided to start our business on campus and then we decided to move back home and step out on faith and actually start our business. It wasn’t hard but it wasn’t easy, especially building clientele. Barely being 20 trying to build clientele when no one really knew us was the hardest part. The lesson we learned along the way is that you’ll never please everyone and that’s okay, and all money isn’t good money and it’s okay to deny clients that don’t suite you. We want the world to know that the Miles Twins will be taking the beauty industry by storm and will be leaving our mark.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a tough one solely because we’re just starting to get out ourselves and exploring more to Dallas than what we already know. With that being said we would go to a club or two in deep ellum on a Friday , go to State and Allen for brunch on Saturday and then Klyde Warren park and enjoy the out doors. Then church on Sunday and follow the Sunday funday crowd afterwards.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Besides God, we have to give our credit to our mother. She’s been our backbone through this journey since we went to cosmetology in high school. She never dismissed our ideas in the career field we wanted to pursue from an early age and has always helped us in the hardest of time while doing business to help us problem solve and find quick solutions when we can’t do it alone. The other person to mention is our mentor Christian Brown who helps us look at the bigger picture when it comes down to business, that it’s not just a business but it’s a platform to serve others.
