Meet Chrystal Bryant | Mobile Mixologist & Registered Nurse

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrystal Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrystal, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I’m a parent of two adult children in their 20s. My daughter is a recent graduate of an HBCU. I believe that my children are inspired by me; they respect my grind. Both of them are self-sufficient, work full-time and continuously seek out opportunities to gain more knowledge to improve their station in life. I’ve modeled how having a good work ethic and integrity can open many doors.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a Registered Nurse, specializing in Maternal Health. I’ve spent the majority of my career working in the community with low-to-moderate income pregnant women and families. At times, it is very challenging but I love the work that I do. I’ve learned that as a whole, our community exhibits the perseverance to overcome many challenges.
My interest in mixology began during the pandemic as something new to learn and a hobby to keep busy. It has blossomed into an entrepreneurial opportunity that has allowed me to meet new people and serve amazing cocktails. I am very proud of the Chrys the Cocktail Fairy brand I’m creating. I want people to know that as their Mobile Mixologist, my mission is to enhance their guests’ experience by providing exceptional service.
I’m also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a professional nursing organization, Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. It’s important for me to give back to my community who has supported me and helped me reach my goals. I’m able to do that by volunteering and contributing towards strategic plans and community programs through both organizations.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them Bishop Arts District, Deep Ellum and Sundance Square and Sundance Square in Fort Worth. We’d probably go to Black Coffee for morning coffee and pastries, The Dryer Hotel for drinks, Kitchen & Kocktails and Pangea for dinner. We’d stop by The Healthy Spot in Desoto for an energy tea. Probably hit up a hula hoop class with Purple Sole Hoops. Definitely would stop by The Dock bookstore to grab a new book. Would spend some time at Klyde Warren Park and would definitely hit up The Freeman Dallas for live music. While down that way we would stop in Energy Gardens Terrariums. We’d get a facial at Bee-Luxe Studio in Cedar Hill.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My cousin Brandi in Chicago, IL inspired me to start my mobile mixology business.
Also, my friends would come over to do be taste testers before I launched my business. My family has been a huge support during this journey.
