We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Robinson Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
There are so many talented artists who simply don’t have the platform to showcase their skills. Or maybe they have a platform but lack other essential resources which may create a roadblock and inhibit them from creating. The thought process behind our business is to eliminate as many barriers as we can for local artists so they can amplify their voices, have opportunities to share their talent and build a community of music lovers who support each other. We also strive to curate events in the R&B /Neosoul genre specifically in Fort Worth,Texas. Although Fort Worth is vastly diverse, we don’t often see that diversity when it comes to music events.. We aim to create space for individuals who long to hear something different.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our vision is to bring awareness about local talent by highlighting local artists and curating events that allow artists to showcase their artistry to new audiences. What sets us apart from other businesses in our space is our focus is solely on local artists. For us it’s not about discovering the next big talent , but realizing the big talent already here in DFW and shining a light on them. The accomplishments we’ve attained thus far are largely due to the amazing artists we have the pleasure of working with. Many of these folks have put their life’s work into their art and are truly committed to their passion for music. Ultimately, our goal is to let the world know about the talent we have right here in DFW.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout Out goes to all of the amazing DFW artists who are the life blood of our organization. Without them we don’t exist!
