We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I stumbled into photography while taking it as a elective in highschool, at first I thought of it as just any other elective “it’s just for a easy credit”. I found myself being more than interested in the art of photography, it’s not like drawing or painting it’s catching a moment in time and making it last forever. I was student athlete at this time as well playing basketball so once it came down to it I chose to do sports photography first since football and basketball were one of the hardest ways to really test yourself in my personal opinion. Since then I’ve taken pictures for Mutiple athletes such as Jaden hullaby, Brennon Scott, king McClure, Olin Carter, Jonathan Anderson, terio morris etc.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel I have a constant flow of ideas and heavy critic from myself, I like my work to be so good I would save it for myself I enjoy photography so I always look at the client as if it was me receiving these photos and how I would feel about them. I feel my professionalism at a young age sets me apart and that is also the thing I’m most proud of myself for because being professional comes with time, learning the ropes and applying it to all things you do after. I’ve learned that time is money you can miss many opportunities in any field if you are not aware of time because it waits for no one so I heavy on how my time is spent I would like it to be productive. I want the world to see my brand as an option I want to be looked at as “I’ve seen this guy shoot many works we should take him into heavy consideration” and I want them to view me as brand that they can look towards long term and never hesitate to ask me to work with them, I want to be comfortable with my clients and I want my clients to be comfortable with me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I’d like to mention my whole family for always supporting me through every decision and helping me find ways to get my work shown to many, I’d also like to thank God, he gave me this amazing eye so I thank him everyday for that, I’d like to thank every single person that’s ever let me photograph them there part of the reason I’m able to do what I do and lastly my friend group MDR (MakeDreamsReal) who inspire me with ideas and challenge me no matter how good anyone thinks my work is, they want me to go even beyond any peak I’ve reached and I wish the same for them.
