We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Workman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
A holistic approach to a patient’s health has been the focus of my practice ever since I started in medicine.  Witnessing the change in overall self care that happens after clients begin to love themselves and value the way the look is a driving factor in why I decided to start this business. After a single cosmetic procedure clients tend to start to change their lifestyle behaviors to a more healthy path, this almost always results in weight loss. Reduction of weight leads to better control of blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. Being a small part in this journey has been a true passion of mine and comes with personal gratification. With the help of my staff who share the same mission and belief, I’m confident we will positively impact those who come to us with their desire to be better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would do everything! My favorite part of Dallas/Fort Worth is that you can find absolutely anything, no matter what your tastes are. I spent most of time in the metroplex in the Fort Worth side, so I’m more comfortable navigating the fun stuff there. Breakfast would 100% be at Beacon Cafe in North Fort Worth – bonus points if we can catch the Sunday buffet! Taking the fur babies down to MUTTS in Clear Fork for some exercise and a walk along the Trinity, visiting the Fort Worth Zoo, and having some dinner and drinks down on 7th Street would be a must-do. My kids love taking the train out to Dallas and hitting the Perot Museum and the Dallas Aquarium, so that would have to be on the list, too. We would certainly have to barhop a few of Fort Worth’s awesome local breweries for my husband’s sake and get dinner at least one night at Bob’s Chophouse in the Omni Fort Worth – out of all the steakhouses in DFW, Bob’s was always our favorite. I’m not into sports so much, but I could definitely get out to Frisco and catch an FC Dallas game (again, for my husband’s sake!) and maybe spend a little time shopping in Southlake, Trophy Club, and north Dallas. I would definitely have to find some good live music and definitely go dancing at Studio 80! There are always a ton of great festivals and celebrations in DFW, too, so we would have to keep an eye out for those!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to thank my partner for recognizing my potential, believing in my vision, and throwing their hat in the ring with my own. I would also have to thank the people who are helping me get this off the ground and volunteering their time and efforts towards helping me with marketing, finances, scheduling, and so many other aspects of this business – without my “J” team I would be a total mess and they do it because they believe in what I want to accomplish and they believe in me. Finally, I would have to send a special thank you to my family – my husband and two sons. A lot of sacrifices get made when someone starts a business and if you have a family, they are making most of those sacrifices right alongside you. To everyone who is involved in this me: I couldn’t ever express in words how much I appreciate everything you are doing.
