Meet Christine Imoukhuede | Founder @ Ahavaplan

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Imoukhuede and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christine, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
By the end of my career, I want to look back on a journey where I’ve not only advanced technology but truly changed the world with the products I’ve developed. More than that, I aim to be a mentor, particularly for women in tech, by opening doors and guiding the next generation. As I reflect from my future home by the sea in Funchal, Portugal, I hope to be proud of both the innovative, world-changing technologies I’ve helped create and the stronger, more inclusive tech community I’ve fostered.
What should our readers know about your business?
What truly sets me apart is my passion for innovation with heart and a dedication to inclusivity in tech. Founding Ahavaplan, my brainchild, is among my proudest moments. It’s not just about organizing weddings—it’s about reimagining them with a focus on cultural understanding and the security of transactions. The road to here wasn’t smooth; it involved overcoming complex challenges in corporate settings and navigating early product setbacks. These experiences shaped my resilience and taught me the vital role of community support. Ahavaplan is more than a company; it’s my commitment to celebrating life’s milestones in ways that make everyone feel valued and included. Download Ahavaplan now on the app stores to get started!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week-long adventure in Dallas with my best friend, we’d start with a cozy dinner at Cafe Italia in Grapevine, sipping on our favorite wines in its warm, inviting atmosphere. The following day, we’d taste vibrant Mexican flavors and try out innovative margarita flights at Mexican Sugar in Irving, before spending the afternoon at the poignant JFK Museum and taking in the panoramic views from Reunion Tower. Midweek, we’d enjoy a picturesque brunch at RH Rooftop Dallas, where the decor is as stunning as the dishes. Later, we’d explore African culinary delights with a modern twist at 5 Senses Cuisine in Dallas and Fusion Lounge in Richardson, each place offering a unique slice of African hospitality. For some leisurely time, we’d stroll the Katy Trail, enjoying casual drinks amidst the lush scenery. We’d also plan a makeup and photoshoot session with the talented “Faces by Miracle”, getting glammed up for a night out at Soho Lounge in Irving, a hotspot for Afrobeat and vibrant African nightlife. We’d wrap up our visit with a hearty breakfast at Whistle Britches, relishing the best fried chicken in town.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a huge shoutout to Mark Crumblish. He’s been so much more than a mentor to me; he’s been a true game changer. From my early days at Lockheed Martin to now, as I dive into my own startup adventure, Mark’s been there, dishing out incredible startup wisdom. His advice is always spot-on, and having his support means everything to me as I tackle this exciting new chapter. Also, the encouragement and guidance from the awesome Enterprise Integration team at Lockheed Martin were truly transformative. They really believed in my abilities and have been a big part of my career journey and success. And I can’t forget the amazing support from my family and friends. Their belief in my vision keeps me charged up, and their hands-on help has been crucial in navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship. On top of all that, the team at Ahavaplan has been absolutely stellar. Their dedication and hard work are the backbone of our success. Every day, they bring their best, turning our collective vision into reality. The impact of their commitment is profound and lasting.
