We had the good fortune of connecting with Christa Griffin, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christa, how does your business help the community?
I believe that we have normalized a culture of working hard all of our life and making work our #1 priority. For example, we are so laser-focused on computer screens that by the time we look up we have missed birthdays, holidays, basketball games, doctor appointments, and etc. We neglect ourselves in the process and put everything on the back burner until we completely burn out ourselves. My brand was created to shift that narrative and remind you that it is okay to reflect, reinvent, and redirect as many times as you need to in order to become the best version of yourself.

Allthingscg brand revolves around self-care and being your best self. Self-care is no longer optional, but it is essential. When you take time to pour into yourself, you help everyone that you are associated with. You cannot pour from an empty cup; therefore, you have to take care of yourself first. I created a 365 daily gratitude journal to help guide, inspire, motivate, and awaken the person that God has called you to be. My business helps the world because it pushes you to do that internal work and forces you to show up for yourself daily. When you do your part, that helps the world become a better place.

What should our readers know about your business?

I am an Author, Creative, and Self-help advocate. I am the author of both Daily Mantra for SIS and Daily Mantra for HIM. These are both self-help journals which include 365 daily affirmations and manifestations to help guide, inspire, and awaken the person that God has called you to be. Supported by bible verses, it provides an extra push to stay positive and reminds you daily to express gratitude through it all. The goal is to help both women and men to be the best version of themselves while simultaneously upgrading their lives in all aspects. In addition to these self-help journals, I also have a faith-based clothing line.

I got here by seeking God, taking risks, and not taking no for an answer. Nothing has been easy, it never is. That excites me the most, the hard stuff. This has been a journey, a lot of highs, lows, and everything in between. Two of my biggest lessons was finding out what fuels me and what scares me. What fuels me is making an impact in my community, family, and close friends. What scares me the most, is not going after what’s on the other side of fear. I have learned that I am not afraid of rejection, rather, I am more afraid of what will happen if I do not go after my dreams. I have also learned to enjoy the process of living in the moment, we will never get this time back. I would like everyone to know that I am a black girl from Milwaukee,WI who made it happen. If I can do it, you can too. What you want is out there, do not stop until you get it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Morning: Grab a coffee from Soiree Coffee Bar in Dallas.
Volunteer at Minnies Food Pantry in Plano.
Go for a run at White Rock Lake.
Dallas Zoo
Klyde Warren park

Afternoon:
Grab lunch from LOLO’s Chicken and Waffles.
Head over to the Galleria Dallas Mall or Northpark Center Mall.
AT&T District
Dallas Farmers Market

Night:
Dinner at Sweet Georgia Brown
Make your own candle at Golden BLK Co.

There is always something new to do here, that’s one of the reasons I love DALLAS.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God, I would not be who/where I am today without him. He showed me a preview and gave me the vision, so now I cannot unsee it. I am also thankful for my family and friends who have supported me since day one. Grateful for my village.
