We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Rabroker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew I wanted to start a business firstly for women. Secondly, I wanted the business to empower us along our way and I knew I wanted a clothing aspect. This is when I developed Style Kalōn.

What should our readers know about your business?
Style Kalōn, or as some say for short Kalōn, is committed to curating Style Driven by Intention. Too deep dive into that a bit more, we source all of our products based on fabric, fit, and function and we break each of these categories down even deeper when we are in the process of buying. By using these buying practices, we believe our buying process is among the service we offer to our customers and this is what sets us apart from other women’s retailers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love hosting guest so this is easy! I’d likely start with showing them a few favorite outdoor spots like the Dallas Arboretum, Trinity Groves trail, and the Katy Trail. For food my go-to’s are Stock and Barrel in Bishop Arts, Sixty Vines in Uptown, and Standard Service off Greenville Ave. Drinks with a view I’d do the patio at HG Supply Co., casual porch hangs I love Oak Cliff Brewing, and Leela’s Wine Bar if we want wine and a cheeseboard.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and family. My husband and high-school sweetheart has always encouraged and supported me to follow my dreams. Growing up I had the retail bug from a young age so my family too knew that starting the shop was a huge dream of mine and they have all supported me in many ways from day 1.
