We had the good fortune of connecting with Chassity Spells and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chassity, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Life is all about taking risk. I’m originally from Louisiana, but my husband and I wanted more out of life and we knew we needed to relocate. So we took the biggest risk, we moved to Dallas, Tx. Not only did I take that relocation risk, I also pivoted into REAL ESTATE! And I absolutely love it. So I jumped into a brand new city and into a brand new career. And now I’m risking even more because I’m dapping in the Luxury Market! Life is all about risk and you never know how good life can become for you if you don’t take the risk!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well I have been an entrepreneur for 8 years. I started in the mental health rim, in which at one time I owned and operated 3 mental health locations in Louisiana. God blessed me to do that for 6 years. Covid came and made things a little difficult so I decided to pivot. I had my first child and decided being a mother and supportive wife to my husband was more important then my career at the time. Now that it’s about 2 years later, I decided to go after something I was always interested in and that’s real estate. I always watched all the Home and Garden network with all the flip my house and real estate shows. I was obsessed with “Million dollar listing”. I decided that’s what I’m going to do REAL ESTATE. And not only just real estate I want to do LUXURY real estate at that. I’m so excited for my decision and for just following my dreams. I’m now a licensed realtor in Louisiana as well as Texas. I want anyone that’s coming to be to help with their home purchasing process to know I’m all about high services with high taste. I serves my client with the most respect and I truly enjoy helping clients became homeowners!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ok so don’t be too harsh on me because I’m still a little new to the area, but I know if it’s a Thursday night me and the girls are going to CatBird for nice atmosphere and nice drinks. If we get hungry (which I’m sure we will) I have to do lunch at 400 Grandi and she must try my favorite mushroom pasta dish and end the lunch with a must have expresso martini.

Lastly, I’m such a chill girl that we would probably spend the rest of the weekend at my apt laying out by the pool!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give God the most credit for any success I have ever had in my life. After God, my husband has to be number 1. Just support for me and our family is unmatched. He allows me to find what I truly want in life, on top of, he supports that desire. My success is a product of my village. They all support and help me which allows me to be the best me I can be. Without them I am nothing, and this life would be extremely hard.
