Meet Chase Hyles | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Hyles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chase, every day, we hear about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My older brother and I didn’t know each other for the first 26 years of my life. We were both born in Lubbock and our moms separated our biological father who had a major drug addiction. Little did we know it, for the next couple decades of our life, we lived just 15 minutes away from each other the whole time. After a few years of searching, I finally found him about 3 years ago. We finally got to connect and know more about each other over the last few years. We noticed we both had a very strong similar interest in the solar industry. He actually had a ton of experience in Solar and worked in the industry when we met. After months and months of talking about Solar and the true American dream of entrepreneurship, we started visualizing everything that eventually became Clean Green Energy.
What are you inspired by?
We are inspired by people who are winning. It takes a lot to win. You can’t see people who are winning in your industry as competition. You have to see them as a small example of the larger person you want to become. You have to learn from them. The mentors I have learned from in my life shaped the person I want to be ten fold. They truly care about personal growth, business growth, and family growth. They care about people and they focus on how they can make an impact on their lives. That’s is the true definition of winning and exactly what inspires us daily to reach our full potential.
How do you think about risk? What role has taking risk played in your life/career?
I believe risk is a fundamental leap we all take in our journey to a successful business. More than likely if you aren’t taking risk, it’s because there is a strong fear factor blocking you. The interesting thing about taking on a calculated risk, is when it works out in your favor, your confidence level boost to a different height. Like most things, there are bad risk and good risk to take. Bad risk is like gambling. No calculations involved on the outcome you will receive. Good risk is when calculations are made and more than likely things will fall in your favor. Taking risk on people, financial investments, and time is something we focus on in our business to maintain continued growth. Without any of those three risk, our business would be at standpoint and never grow. I encourage anyone starting their own business to get past the fear and make a calculated risk that will help your business expand to that next level you’re reaching for.
What should our readers know about your business?
As every business idea starts, we started with a seed. We planted a seed that we had to take care of daily in order for it to grow the level we intend it to. Without caring for that seed every day, it would then die. Our first initial thought process behind starting our business was to run with the momentum and take on anything that gets in our way; daily. Don’t let the momentum die. I’ve always been taught by my mentors that SUCCESS LOVES SPEED. Main thing we always focus on is tending to our business growth daily. If it’s social media, making new connections, marketing materials, working on your system, and getting educated on what is winning; you are tending to your seed. What eventually happens when you give your business 110% focus and tend to it daily, it then becomes a massive full grown tree that will be around for a lifetime, before you even know it.

What has been great about starting a business with my older brother is building new healthy habits into our life and business. The biggest habit we picked up is keeping each other accountable on growing. We talk on a daily basis and everyday we push each other to maintain a focus on growth. We each feed out the negative energy if it creeps in. What this has done for ours lives and business is life changing in many ways. We believe in manifesting what you want out of life. We both manifest every day what we want out of our business and for our team. This has led to many growth opportunities for us by starting this simple daily habit. Once you start envisioning your goals for your business every single day, you would be surprised what unfolds in front of you. This is by far the best habit you could bring into your life and business.
The best thing about owning your own business is the free life class that school never taught you. Every single day I am learning new lessons. Lessons I don’t think I would have ever learned without going through the process. The biggest lesson I have learned so far has to be trust. Trusting in your team is absolute key to a successful business. A team isn’t a one man show so you can’t take the full reigns. Once you provide all the resources to your team, you have the intrust in them to grow. Then trust in the process and never doubt yourself. Trust it will work because it will work if you continue to stay running toward your business vision. Then lastly I would say to trust in you’re relationships and mentors. I always trust in the advice given to me by those who are at a higher place that I envision to reach. Once you start gaining trust in yourself and your business, you are the only one who can break it.

What is the most important lesson your business has taught you?

Work/Life Balance. How has your balance changed over time? How do you think about the balance?
This is always an interesting question. Everyone has different takes on work/life balance. If you fully enjoy what you are doing then you will never feel like you are sacrificing the life side. It’s not always going to be equal at the beginning but once you build a working system within your business then the life side of the balance naturally occurs. When your family, health, and well being starts becoming a daily sacrifice then you need to start lean more on focusing on your life; get the balance back. If you focus too much on work you start missing time with your family, miss time seeing your friends, miss time going to the gym, miss time doing the hobbies you love, and miss time for the well needed meditation in your life. Once that happens you start getting hungry and wanting to feed off having a life again. Then you put all that energy back into the life side while the work side is getting neglected. Healthy balance on both sides should always be a business owners number one priority in order to obtain a healthy life.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would be more than honored to give a shoutout to Ed Mylett. The man that has completely changed my thinking towards life, business, and family. Not only a self made man who went through many challenges but a man who is always giving back to others. A true inspiration.
