Meet Charity and Joe Langford | Small Business owners, Parent to 3 and we are both professionals in the Material Handling world (forklifts, warehouse ect)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Charity and Joe Langford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charity and Joe, is there something you believe many others might not?
Hard work always pays off. I do believe that working hard propells you, but its not just hard work. Its knowing that no matter how hard you work, failure happens, and when things don’t work out, you have to know how to pivot and not let those bumps in the road derail your dream. If you work hard, and don’t get where you want to go, what do you do then? Learning how to pivot, and “Fail forward” is the advise I give my children. Success always involves failures

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are Partydreams! We believe gorgeous, budget friendly decor should be accessible to everyone. Weddings are incredibly expensive and can be very stressful to plan. We are here to be the easiest decision you make! What sets us apart from other rental companies, is that we curate decor packages that include enough decor for up to 250 people. We do all of the hard work putting the collections together, so our customers can just enjoy the decor. We don’t charge per centerpiece, its all one huge package for an incredibly <almost shockingly> affordable price. Everything we do is centered around providing a service that is beautiful, affordable, and easy!

Joe and I are proud to be the owners of Partydreams Dallas, and Partydreams Granbury, but its taken some time to navigate owning a small business with 2 locations, our normal careers, and family/home life! We opened PD Granbury in Feb of 2023, then took over PD Dallas in May of 2023. We felt like we were running after a freight train just trying to keep up, but we have our legs under us now, and all is running smooth. We are excited about growing PD Granbury (the smaller of the 2 locations), and adding to our collection inventory in 2024. We are participating in styled shoots and open houses, and are very excited about the connections we are making in the industry. The wedding industry is a special industry. It is full of folks that genuinely want couples to have the very best day. Its exciting to be a part of such a hard working and creative group of people!

I think what Joe and I would want everyone to know about Partydreams, is that we truly want our customers to feel the love we have for them. We care about their day, and take our role in it seriously. We love our customers!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are a sports family, so if we had out of town visitors we would want to take them to a Rangers game and to tour At&t stadium. We definitely would take a trip to Fort Worth and visit the stockyards. Dallas is full of cool museums so we would hit up Perot Museum. Scooter or Bikeride through Dallas and Fort Worth would def be on the list. I think that is a great way to see the busy downtown areas without having to find parking! We are taco folks so a trip down to Godley to eat at Del Norte. Andretti Indoor Karting in the Colony is alot of fun and Pecan Lodge for BBQ

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Charity: My biggest support comes from my mom. She raised 4 children on her own, and showed me what hard work is. She is the reason I believe in myself enough to jump head first into unknown territory.
