We had the good fortune of connecting with Cedrice Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cedrice, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Being a risk taker and being an entrepreneur does not always mean creating a business blindly and then expecting great results. Taking risks in entrepreneurship can be difficult because there is always the thought of how can you compete but bring creativity and be incompatible . I do believe you must become comfortable with the risk ,not only with photography, but with who I was as a person. The camera soon became my strongest and most distinguished voice. It served as the tool for how I expressed myself, and soon became an avocation.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others there are a few things, i really like to strive to capture personalities not to mention . I often tend to allow my style , service , products and experience set me aside as personally giving clients something different than other photographer is always a plus .
During the whole experience as an upcoming photographer i would say im most proud of Briana she has allowed me practice my portraits as well given me the Opportunity to collaborate with some local business owners 7thandKnox , Michael Bold Company .
Today Im currently one of the top Vendors being used for many companies like Grey star , JLB , & also providing excellent ,exceptional service to smaller local companies as well whether is Real Estate , Drone, Product, Promotional Ad’s , Portraits , Lifestyle videos , Photos , Weddings you name i’m there .
Was it easy , that will be a big No . I would tell you to have patience knowing its only so much of that but i will tell consistency will definitely take you wherever you want to go . My first apartment i ever shot was Miro Dallas . that was back in early 2020 . i stayed consistent and here i am a year later with that one video has opened a-lot of Opportunities for me here in Dallas. The question i have for anybody thats trying to become the best brand out there is how bad do you want it .
I can say even today it can be hard a businesses owner as business does fluctuate and in those hard times i would say you have to keep a strong mindset and never get complicate keep evolving and creating bringing those once was a ideals to reality thats a great way to survive and overcome those challenges .
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in a city like Dallas you can never go wrong with starting the day hanging out at Happiest Hour for good drinks . For good food i would say there are a-lot of good choices like Kenny wood fire, Ocean Prime , Haywire or even the shops of legacy or if feeling fancy Del Frisco’s .
Some of the most fun interesting places i would say check out would be the bishop arts district ,Deep ellum , farmers Market , Kylde Warren park , the star in Frisco , and Addison.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Id like to shout out Briana M . for all the long days and practice hours she has contributed when it came to me getting to know my camera and perfecting my craft . As a model , Influencer , and overall inspirational person it definitely helped get the ball rolling with gaining the confidence of becoming Dallas next best Photographer.
“I’d also like to shout out my good friend Chris. He’s Also a photographer/Videographer and owner of Chris Burton Visuals, a media company out of Detroit. As a good friend and someone who has been doing this a little longer than I have, he has been a mentor to me and helped me grow into what I am today .
