Meet Cazden Morrison | Co-Founder of Creator Camp

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cazden Morrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cazden, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success is our willingness to say, “Yeah, we can do this,” even when the path forward wasn’t crystal clear. None of us had a background in education when we started, but we believed in ourselves and in our ability to figure it out. That mindset—paired with the fact that we’re lifelong friends who truly understand how to work together—has been our secret sauce. We know how to divide and conquer because we’ve been doing it for years, and our dynamic as a team lets us pivot quickly and make bold changes without hesitation. We aren’t tied to a traditional rule book, which not only keeps our approach fresh and exciting but also helps us exceed customer expectations while staying ahead of the competition. It’s this combination of adaptability, trust, and genuine collaboration that’s made Creator Camp what it is today.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Creator Camp is the most cutting-edge summer camp on the market, offering hands-on courses that kids actually want to learn—think filmmaking, YouTube content creation, music production, and game development. We’ve taken the same screens kids are glued to and turned them into tools for creativity, teaching practical skills in tech and the arts. In many ways, we’re solving the “iPad kid crisis” by transforming passive consumption into active creation.
One of our biggest milestones recently? We appeared on Shark Tank—the first kids’ summer camp ever to be featured—and landed a deal with Barbara Corcoran. That experience not only validated our mission but also accelerated our growth. We’ve gone from a scrappy team of five in our first summer to a full-fledged operation with over 100 staff members serving major cities across Texas by 2024.
Was it easy? Absolutely not. Building Creator Camp was a whirlwind of learning everything on the fly, facing tough competition, and figuring out how to scale while keeping the heart of what we do intact. We’ve learned that staying adaptable, listening to what families and kids want, and constantly innovating is the only way to grow sustainably.
We’re proud to be actively hiring passionate instructors who share our love for tech and the arts to help us expand even further. The world should know that Creator Camp isn’t just about summer activities—it’s about empowering the next generation of creators with the skills they need to thrive in a digital world. And we’re just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
BBQ – Terry Blacks, it’s just the best. Luckys Café is also awesome.
Odd answer, but if they’re into JFK & American History, the grassy knoll/book depository. This isn’t a super “fun” option but I always love taking friends who have never been here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to shout out 1. Our camp families- without their support, we would’ve never been able to build this business to what it is today. 2. Jay Kolkman, our AV teacher from high school who made an incredible impact on all of us.
