We had the good fortune of connecting with Cat Chickering and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cat, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The crew that works at the shop and customer service is the biggest part of the shop being as successful as it has been. This is a constant changing industry and you have to have a group that can adjust to changes. Having a crew that can work through and continue to provide professional, detailed, and custom is the best thing you can ask for and I am one of the lucky shops that has a dependable crew. Also always making sure we are on our top game and ready to help customers in a professional, but comfortable environment helps our shop strive.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We recognized the need for a more artistic tattoo shop in the Fort Worth area and opened Epic Tattoos in July of 2004 on North Beach Street. Although much has changed in the past decade, we remain committed to the original mission of operating under the highest of standards. I believe our artists talent and customer service is what sets us apart along with being able to evolve with the constant changes in the tattoo and piercing world. Epic Tattoos strives to make our customers happy and do the best tattoos and piercings. We stand by our name and the work that we do. Every single artist at the shop is very talented and committed to progressing themselves and the shop.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are a lot of things and places we would go, but definitely to the shop. There is always something fun to do in the DFW area. I am sure we would take in local music, go to a few bars in the area, and definitely unwind in nature
