We had the good fortune of connecting with Caroline Harries and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caroline, how does your business help the community?
Moms in the Making is a faith-based fertility support organization dedicated to serving the 1 in 6 couples facing infertility. Our mission is to bring comfort to those in pain, hope to the hopeless, and community to the lonely. Through our 90 infertility support groups worldwide, we provide a safe space where couples can share their experiences, receive guidance, and find emotional connection. By fostering a supportive environment, we ensure that no one has to navigate the challenges of infertility alone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Moms in the Making is a faith-based fertility support group dedicated to helping couples facing infertility. What started in my living room in 2013 with just six women has now grown into a global movement, with 90 groups offering both in-person and virtual support. Our goal is to create spaces where women feel seen, heard, loved, and supported on their journey.

The journey hasn’t been without challenges. Leaving my corporate finance job in 2017 to focus on this nonprofit full-time was a leap of faith. There were financial uncertainties, moments of doubt, and the weight of leading a ministry while navigating my own infertility journey. But every challenge was met with God’s faithfulness, and I’ve learned that obedience, perseverance, and trust are the keys to stepping into something bigger than yourself.

What sets us apart is our unwavering belief in hope. Infertility can be isolating and overwhelming, but through our faith-based values, we offer a tangible hope that is present even in the hardest moments. We don’t just provide support—we contend in faith, standing with women in prayer and encouragement.

What excites me most is seeing the impact of this ministry. Over 500 ‘miracle babies’ have been born to women once told they’d never conceive. Watching women who were once struggling now hold their children is a powerful testament to the strength of hope, faith, and community. My prayer is that every woman facing infertility knows she is not alone and that God has good plans for her story.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love spending time outdoors, so we’d kick off the trip with a scenic walk at Arbor Hills or Katy Trail. If it’s summertime, we’d head to Lake Lewisville for some paddleboarding or kayaking—such a fun way to cool off! And of course, no perfect day is complete without ending it with some delicious Mexican food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to our incredible Moms in the Making leaders—the ones who make it possible to carry out our vision! They open their homes or host Zoom groups, creating a space of compassion and comfort for women who are hurting and longing for connection. Our leaders are truly the heart of this ministry.

What makes their dedication even more powerful is that many of them are walking their own journeys of trying to grow their families. Even in the midst of their own waiting, pain, and uncertainty, they continue to pour out, encourage, and uplift others who are facing the same struggles. They choose to lead with faith, love, and selflessness, offering hope even as they hold onto it for themselves. Their willingness to serve, despite their own hardships, is a beautiful reflection of their compassionate hearts. We are so grateful for each of them!
