We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlos Barrientos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlos, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Spending time in nature, learning and training spiritually. Elevating my consciousness. Being able to provide opportunities for those less fortunate.

What should our readers know about your business?
I teach people how to build their business or fund their idea without using none of your own money. First it starts with showing people how to fix/and build their personal credit to get access to large capital to fund their existing business or an idea they’re wanting to create. Most people hold back from pursuing their goals and dreams because of lack of funds. I simply show them how to build their credit profile to look attractive to the banks and never get turned down again.

With most of the Latino community coming from lower income families and neighborhoods, it’s almost impossible to have guidance or support of any kind. Most of our upcoming environment, including friends and families, don’t understand our vision and passion for wanting something bigger out of life. So after 5 years of being in the entrepreneurship world and not finding my circle, I decided to create my own community. Life Hacks Community. A community with other like minded individuals with similar goals and passion. I mentor and provide all skills and knowledge of existing businesses that I do on the day to day such as Real Estate, Airbnb, Marketing, Car Rental Business, and Credit Funding.

I never knew I wanted to start my own business. Honestly I had no idea what that even meant. I didn’t grew up knowing anyone with a business nor was I around luxury things. Everything has been far from easy. It started from jumping from job to job, feeling like I didn’t fit in and I just got extremely bored of everything. Nothing would catch my attention, I felt like I worked harder than everyone, my mangers and I never saw eye to eye. So I worked in 20 different industries by the age of 23. I finally decided to go all in on me after a disagreement with my manager and I started my marketing business. I’ve been doing Sales and Marketing since 2015 and those were the only skills I had, but I knew with those skills I could survive no matter what I decided. From there on, I’ve created partnerships in multiple ventures such as Real Estate Commercial Development, Car Rental business, and Airbnb.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like to visit up and coming areas. Most of my friends are investors so we’re always looking for areas to invest and start developing. My personal favorite is downtown Dallas, its loaded with opportunity. Specifically Bishop Arts, Trinity Groves, Love Field, and Lower Greenville.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Most of my success comes from courses, books and mentorships. But most importantly myself not allowing to give up and to always pursue the life i Dreamed of.
