We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Gwynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candace, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
This is an excellent question! One thing about my industry that outsiders are probably unaware of or confused about is that a virtual assistant is whatever you want it to be. As a virtual assistant, I am “keyword” an assistant. Any number of clients may need or require different services at varying times. I may provide bookkeeping for one client and administrative services for another. A virtual assistant has the flexibility to be what any business needs it to be! That is the beauty of the role.

What should our readers know about your business?
Analyze My Work is a virtual assistance agency. As virtual assistants, we use our prior experiences to make our clients lives easier. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate burnout by using work-life balance as the cure! What sets me apart is that I have over 15 years of experience in Corporate America and I have personally experienced the sink or swim mentality, Were one has to literally figure out how to perform their role because management is also too busy to support them properly. If they cannot, they will be terminated. I have also witnessed those individuals that do not have time for professional or personal development because they are so inundated with seemingly endless tasks. This is why virtual assistants are important. We all need support to continue to grow and accomplish our personal goals. That is what we provide.

Creating and starting AMW has not been easy! I had to believe that I could create something of this magnitude and ensure that I was battling the needs of the industry. I wanted to foster a culture of genuine help and comfort! We needed to foster an environment where our clients felt heard as well as relieved. My biggest obstacle was battling myself and deciding which services I wanted to offer! I struggled with this because my industry strongly suggests that you niche down! My belief is that clients need more than a singular specialized capability. I wanted to provide a wide array of services to help service a wide array of individuals. My vision was to be able to offer services in a package where a client could receive all the services they needed with individuals they have built rapport with and trust!

What I want the world to know about Analyze My Work (AMW) is we have been you; therefore, we see you and we understand you! We want to help you grow to your best self! We want you to delegate those tasks that seemingly weigh you down from accomplishing those dream goals!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Memphis, I would make a reservation at Porch and Parlor. I would guarantee that we ordered the Memphian to drink and I would recommend the roasted chicken to eat. If Courtney Little is scheduled to perform, I would recommend us hanging out at The Manhattan. He puts on a really great show! One of those days we must have brunch! I would recommend, Supper Club on 2nd, Automatic Slims, or Babalu. We could check out a movie we really wanted to see at the Powerhouse Cinema downtown or catch a live show or play at the Orpheum Theater. For a night of dancing, I would recommend Thrive. There are so many possibilities in the city! My best friend and I would take our time and explore multiple areas to have the best time of our lives.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My village! My village includes friends, family, and silent supporters that I am unaware of that like, share, comment, and recommend my services. My village pushes me to continue going when I feel overwhelmed and exhausted. My village supports me and celebrates my wins. My village helps with financial goals so I can continue to grow and prosper. There are countless things that I can say about my village! The number one thing is that they deserve to be recognized in this Shoutout section.
