We had the good fortune of connecting with Camille Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Camille, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Primarily, I think most people don’t know that when items are purchased online, once they are returned due to fit, mind-change, color dislike, etc., that those items are not then re-sold to other customers.

Most online retailers don’t have the reverse-logistics in place to accept and re-shelve items that their customers have returned back to them.

The most shocking part is that instead of putting the appropriate logistics in place, it’s less of a financial burden for the companies to trash the items instead of handling them in a more environmentally-friendly way.

The moment I learned that, it changed the way I shopped online.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The art on our tees is original and one-of-a-kind. It starts with a pencil and paper and is meant to reflect the beliefs of our supporters. Our tees are meant for everyone who loves interesting, environmentally-friendly ways to support sustainable fashion. Each collection is created with the idea that perfectly good tees deserve to circulate in the economy many, many more times before they are eventually downcycled and discarded.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the best spots in Dallas are the green spaces! The parks and trails are hands-down the best places to spend some quality time. If I had friends in town, we’d visit White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum, and we’d probably get a bite to eat at the most amazing place, the Ginger Thai restaurant on Mockingbird Lane, which is so very close to Knit Dallas – another place I wish I could visit every day!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents have always been, and will always be my #1 supporters. There are no other souls on the planet that have been there since day one – literally. The day I was born I had my two built-in cheerleaders! They taught me lots about life and business, about following through and integrity. They’re still sharing life-lessons to this very day. I’m grateful.
