We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Lemons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittney, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
There are many things about my industry that outsiders may not be aware of. The one that I find most important is the fact that the second-hand industry will be the #1 RETAIL Industry in the next 5 years. It has been stated that by 2024 the second-hand industry will be worth more than $24Billion. With that being said that saying that people are starting to realize the its about the Quality, not the Quantity. So now my quote is, “In with the Old, out with the new!’
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a physical art of pure ability to go into the Thrift Store and find those unique, hidden gems. that make you say, “WOW! I would have never thought to wear that like that.” I am mostly excited about helping other women express themselves through my clothing. What has gotten me here today is always remaining coachable, having discipline in my life, and staying true to myself. It wasn’t easy, but I have gotten better. I meditate daily and feed my body what it needs mentally & Physically. I want the world to know that my brand will always stay true to what I feel will progress people as a whole. I feel very successful in what I do because I am able to inspire! That is why my brand is so GREAT, because it cares truly about the betterment of people. I will continue to inspire other women, men and children to be true to themselves follow their desires.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I Live in the DFW Area so I love to get out but for food most of my Fine Dinning happen to be right in the comfort of my own home. My husband -“The Chef” and I create the resturant ambience and have very nice dinners. So she would get a lot of that but some of my favorite spots would be STIRR ADDISON, Saint Ann’s, The Henry, if it’s a Wednesday TacoLingo. Some cool places would be Ronald Kirk Bridge Park/Trinity Groves, The Aquarium, Legacy West/Legacy Hall has a bunch shops and restaurants, The Statler for rooftop drinks and dinning, Drake’s Hollywood for Dinner. I think she would enjoy it.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Off Top! I would like to thank Most High for giving me the vision and courage to take the risks that I have taken to get to the heights that I am today; because I have alined myself with God, everything else started to fall inline as well: people, books, music etc. Some influential people that have stood alongside me in my corner this first year have been my Husband, Christopher Hall (Insta: @thehall_way4), my Soul Coach Jaz Porter (Insta:YogiJazPorter), my family and small group of friends. A Few books that I enjoyed were; Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill which gave me clarity to see the world in a different light and understand that there must be a balance in everything. It taught me to accept the rain with my sunshine. Think and Grow Rich helped with my mindset about business, Rich Dad Poor Dad helped me understand my potential to gain wealth.
