We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittine’y Franklin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittine’y, how do you think about risk?
To take a risk is choosing to Try. At a certain point in life, you will have to make the choice to take a risk. As a Business owner Taking Risk are inevitable. Risks are required for Success. I have had to take many risks in life and in Business in order for me to get where I am today.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the Owner of Britt’s Soul Seasoning. I create Salt- Free Seasonings, Bbq sauce, and Wing Sauces. I am a very upfront and hands-on Business Owner, I believe if I want people to get the product, I have to be out at the forefront. Starting my company was not as easy as most would think, I had to have a plan, do tons of research, and do lots of trial and error trying to find the perfect recipes and mixtures that created the unforgettable taste that many people enjoy to this day.

There were some challenges I faced as the company began to grow, you have FDA requirements to legalities all the way down to properly managing my time and still being a full time very active mom. but I’m grateful that I have a full village of friends, leaders, and family that have been pillars for me as I climb the mountain of success.

As a Visionary, I’ve learned to pace myself. The vision is always big but being wise enough to know when to move is one of the most important lessons I’ve learned as a business owner.

I am so excited about the future of Britt’s Soul seasoning. We have some new products that will be released Spring and Summer of 2023 and will be in Local stores between Dallas, TX, and Tulsa, Ok.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would defintiely go to Kiss Resturant, Reunion Tower, any Art Gallery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m going to give my shoutout to my best friend, she has been a huge support system for me. She stayed up on many nights helping me research, go over ideas, sample products and pray me through some scary moments in life and as a business owner. She goes over and beyond as a friend, sister, and as Godmother to my children while maintaining her career as a gospel artist and lead Worship Pastor at her local church. She definitely deserves this Shoutout! Thanks, sis you are so appreciated!!
