We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Scribner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a single mother myself, I bring firsthand understanding and passion to Moms In Sync’s mission. From personal experiences shaping my vision, I empathize deeply with the challenges single mothers face daily. My resilience and determination serves as my inspiration, driving the organization’s commitment to empowering others. Moms In Sync offers more than just practical assistance; it provides a supportive community where single mothers find understanding and encouragement. My dedication extends beyond professional responsibilities; it’s a personal commitment to make a meaningful difference in the lives of single mothers everywhere. Being at the helm, Moms In Sync embodies authenticity, compassion, and a genuine desire to uplift and empower single mothers.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Empowering single mothers through organization and support is our mission. Our goal throughout the years is to bless as many single mothers as possible with the gift of a FREE planner to help them initiate getting organized. Being able to have the means to start can help reduce the stress and struggle that comes with it. Reducing stress in motherhood can not only help with mental health but the mothers physical health as well. We focus on what is best for the single mom who does so much to create a healthy balanced life for herself and her child(ren). Plans of hosting The Single Moms Summit, annually, I bring together a lineup of inspiring speakers who share valuable insights and strategies to help single moms navigate various aspects of single motherhood with grace and confidence. From social media support groups, financial management to self-care, parenting tips towards career advancement and education, the speakers will cover it all! Moms In Sync is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of single mothers, and our initiatives have a profound social impact in the areas of Empowerment, Community Building, Advocacy and Awareness.

Getting to where I am business-wise has been a blessing! Everything comes with some sort of struggle, and depending on how you look at it, it can help you. I can say that using my own experience reveals what I went through as being relatable to others and how it turned into something good.  It feels good to be obedient in the vision God gave me to give back in this way. My heart is full.

The lesson I’ve learned most is to stay strong in my faith. That is also how I overcame the challenges. I want the world to not be afraid of growth and change. I know that my brand has grown so much in just 6 months. The impact it has had, this far, makes me realize it is worth the hard work and challenges, especially, when there is someone who can benefit from it. Make it count by making it positive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a Texas transplant, good food and the outdoors, in good weather of course. Texas weather will have you sick in one day. But, on a good day, I found that Klyde Warren Park downtown, became a spot that I can relax in all day, visit museums and eat good. The many festivals that occur downtown and food trucks, along with restaurants within walking distance are close enough so that someone new doesn’t feel lost or overwhelmed. It’s fun for a whole day. Can’t forget dinner at my favorite restaurant, Perry’s Steakhouse. Always dress up! The downtown location 2nd floor view, at nighttime, really adds to the ambiance.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my Shoutout to “My Village.” They know who they are and have been supportive of me every step of the way. But, my biggest credit goes to my amazing daughter, A’Mari.
