We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Meeks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was always a good listener to friends, family, and even random people I didn’t know. I realized over time, that every so often, everyone just needs someone to talk to who’s willing to listen and give positive feedback and insight. Then once I developed the need for someone to listen to me, I found it hard to find who I was looking for. I wanted them to be someone who could relate to what I’d been through after going through their own experiences and journeys.

Not long after that was when I had my “lightbulb” moment… I could be this very thing for others! A concept consultant who helps people see things from positive perspectives so that they can prosper and grow. That’s when Prosperous Growth Concepts was born!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When it comes to categorizing my professional life, career, and business, I selected “other” due to the category being a combination of more than one of the options: “business/creative”.

What sets me apart from others is that I provide an affordable alternative to traditional therapy. My solutions have numerous benefits – but 2, in particular, are the improvements in mental health and personal development (self-help).

What I’m most proud of and excited about, is enforcing change and providing a service that will impact the community one person/one concept at a time!

I got to where I am today professionally through consistency! I put forth the effort and poured as much of my energy and attention into the business as possible! By touching the business, even if only a small amount, every day, eventually it has no choice but to flourish.

To be completely honest, it wasn’t easy getting to my destination professionally.

Overcoming challenges is something I’ve known all too well. I had no choice but to take the hurdles along the way that were put in place to distract me from staying on course and completing my goals and tasks at hand with stride and continue to persevere and press forward so I’d be as successful as I wanted to be.

Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way are: a dream is merely a dream without action and putting forth actual effort; growth is necessary for change and change is necessary for growth!

Finding balance was definitely essential to my life’s and business’s success. Even with dealing with ongoing or recurring challenges (i.e., being a current dialysis patient), I had a combination of things to consider – my business, health, home, and personal lifestyles to find the balance that worked best for me as a daily routine.

My humble beginnings helped to mold me into the person I am today. This gives those that do decide to work with Prosperous Growth Concepts a more genuine and relatable experience throughout their journey!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex has an endless amount of entertainment and attractions to consider when you want to have a good time in our city! Some of my favorite spots include Clyde-Warren Park; Bishop Arts District; Downtown Dallas; Uptown Dallas; Dallas Cowboys Stadium; the gondola rides (Irving, TX); Dallas World Aquarium; Black Academy of Arts and Letters; D’Vegan restaurant (as well as any of the other restaurants located within the same shopping center and pavilion)!

Thank you for loving me so organically and for bringing balance back into my life as my “better half”; the yin to my yang! Thank you for making it so easy to love you simply because you’re you! Thank you! Sincere gratitude to a genuine gem! Thank you for being such a major piece of me, my support system, and my life! I love you the MOST!
