We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Jackson, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what do you attribute your success to?
Not allowing someone to project their fears on me. I had to come to terms with the only one that’s stopping me is me. Sometimes you have to take a risk and step out on faith. And never despise small beginnings. Become fearless with everything you do regardless of the obstacle. Success does not happen over night. There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Starting a business is one thing. However, doing the work is another. This journey has been an adjustment. You definitely have to make time and invest in your dream. Go hard behind something you believe in. I have a tendency to treat my business as my home and my customers as my family. A fun fact about my business is that we were actually founded in 2018. However, I hid that secret for awhile because I wanted to give Off The Table Eats and myself time to develop, build resilience, and gain confidence as a business owner.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite selections for aesthetics are: Bishop Arts, Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Deep Ellum, Fort Worth Water Gardens, Trinity Groves, and Truck Yards in lower Greenville.
My favorite selections for ambiance and food are: Haystack Burgers & Barley, Ida Claire, Kenny’s Italian, Nick & Sam’s, and Pangea.
However, I would recommend Elaine’s Kitchen, JC’s Philly Cheesesteaks, Lucky’s Hot Chicken, Shells and Tails, Taqueria La Banqueta, and Winner’s BBQ for a quick grab and go concept depending on your mood for the day.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The dopest collaboration done thus far was with Memphis Grazing and Shot by Shon at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. We came together for the perfect picnic celebration. And I can’t wait to celebrate the next event so stay tuned for what’s ahead. I recommend giving their business a follow on Instagram and Facebook. Their energy is unmatched and their work speaks for itself! I don’t know anyone more deserving of this moment. I rather sit at a table and build with those that are just as hungry for success as I am than those that have it all together. The world is big enough for all of us to win.
